What is AI brand visibility?

AI brand visibility is how present your brand is across AI-generated answers — how often assistants name you, in what context, and against which competitors. It extends LLM visibility from a citation count to reputation: not only whether you appear, but whether the description the model gives of you is accurate and favourable.

Why does ai brand visibility matter for your brand?

Assistants do not only decide whether to name you; they summarise what you are. That summary is assembled from whatever the model can read about you across the web, and it is delivered to the buyer as fact with no link to click and verify. An outdated or wrong description does more damage than absence.

What does it cost to ignore it?

A model that describes your service area, pricing, or specialism incorrectly will keep doing so to every buyer who asks, and you will never see the impression in any analytics tool.

Common questions

How do I fix an inaccurate AI description of my business?

You cannot edit the model, so you correct the sources it reads. Make the correct fact unambiguous and repeated across the places models weight most: your own site, your Google Business Profile, and third-party listings and directories. Consistency is the lever — where sources disagree, the model picks one, and it may not pick yours.

Is AI brand visibility different from share of voice?

Share of voice is one measure inside it — the percentage of answers in a prompt set that mention you versus competitors. AI brand visibility also covers sentiment and accuracy: being named in nine of ten answers is a poor result if the description attached to your name is wrong.
