AI Visibility Audit

When your customer asks AI who to call, does it say your name?

An AI visibility audit checks whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews name your business when buyers ask a question in your category — and diagnoses why they name someone else. We run the real queries, scan whether an AI agent can use your website, review the off-site sources AI leans on, then walk you through all of it on a call and hand you a 30-day plan. It is a flat $497, credited against your setup if you move forward — but it starts with a short call, not a card.

20-minute call · No card to book · 3 business days turnaround if you go ahead

AI visibility audit, AI search audit, GEO audit — what's the difference?

Mostly nothing. They are four names for the same question: when someone asks AI who to use, does it say you? The industry has not settled on one term yet, so here is what each one means and what we cover.

AI visibility audit
Whether AI assistants name your business, and why they name someone else instead. The broadest of the four, and the one we lead with.
AI search audit
The same assessment framed around AI-powered search specifically — ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews rather than the traditional blue links.
AI readiness audit
The technical half: whether your site and structured data are actually prepared for AI systems to read and use. Included here, not sold separately.
GEO audit
GEO is Generative Engine Optimization — optimizing to be cited inside generated answers rather than to rank in a list. A GEO audit is this work under the discipline’s formal name.

You do not need to pick one. The engagement below covers all four — the visibility question, the search-engine question, the technical readiness question, and the generative-citation question — because in practice they share the same causes.

Why does this matter now?

Because the click is disappearing. Research from SparkToro using Similarweb clickstream data found 68.01% of US Google searches ended without a click in the first four months of 2026, up from 60.45% in 2024. Where an AI Overview appears, click-through drops sharply.

We can show you the same thing happening to us. Last month baadigi.com recorded 68,764 impressions and 58 clicks — a 0.08% click rate. One page had 57,322 impressions and a single click. Being seen stopped meaning being visited.

If the answer is being assembled without the visit, the only thing that matters is whether your name is in the answer.

What's in the audit?

What AI actually says about you

We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews the questions your customers ask — "best {trade} in {city}" — and record whether you are named. You see the real answers, not a score we made up.

Who gets named instead

The competitors AI recommends in your market, ranked by how many engines name them. This is usually the part that stops the room.

Whether an AI agent can even use your site

Google's Lighthouse agentic checks against your site: the accessibility tree agents navigate by, layout stability, and llms.txt. Every failure listed as a specific element, not a grade.

Your off-site footprint

Google Business Profile, review velocity, and the citation sources AI leans on. In our own research this mattered more than website quality.

We ran this on 97 businesses before selling it

In August 2026 we audited our own client base — 97 live businesses — using exactly this process. The results are published in full, including the parts that undercut the sales pitch.

77%

were already named by AI. Most businesses are not invisible — assuming you are is the mistake.

43%

had a website defect an AI agent trips on. The most common: links with no readable text.

12

had technically perfect websites and were still named by nobody. A rebuild would not have helped them.

The honest version: if you are already named by AI, this audit will tell you that and the job becomes widening your lead rather than fixing an absence. We would rather say so than sell you a problem you do not have.

How does the audit work?

01

Book a short call — no card, no commitment

Twenty minutes. Tell us your trade and the city you actually serve. Nothing to pay to get on the phone.

02

We look at your market on the call

We run the free checks live and show you who AI names in your city right now. If you are already showing up well, we will tell you that and you can stop here.

03

If it is worth doing, we run the full audit

That is when the $497 is due. Live queries across three AI engines, Lighthouse agentic checks on your site, and an off-site review. Takes 3 business days.

04

We walk you through it, and you keep the plan

Not a PDF in your inbox. We show you what is causing it and hand you a 30-day plan ordered by impact — yours whether or not you work with us.

What does it cost?

$497

Flat. One business, one market.

  • Live queries across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews
  • Lighthouse agentic scan of your website, defect by defect
  • Off-site review: business profile, reviews, citation sources
  • A live call to walk through all of it
  • A 30-day plan, ordered by impact — yours to keep

Move forward with us within 30 days and the full $497 is credited against your setup. If you become a client, the audit costs you nothing.

AI visibility audit — common questions

What is an AI visibility audit?

An AI visibility audit checks whether AI assistants name your business when someone asks a buying question in your category, and diagnoses why they do or do not. It combines live queries against ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews with a technical scan of your website and a review of the off-site sources AI draws on.

What is an AI search audit?

An AI search audit is the same thing under a different name: an assessment of how your business appears across AI-powered search — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews — rather than the traditional blue links. Some people say AI search audit, some say AI visibility audit. Ours covers both meanings in one engagement.

What is an AI readiness audit?

An AI readiness audit asks whether your website and digital footprint are actually prepared for AI systems to read, understand and recommend you. It leans more technical than a pure visibility check — the accessibility tree an agent navigates by, structured data, llms.txt — and it is included here alongside the visibility side.

What is a GEO audit?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization — optimizing to be cited inside AI-generated answers rather than to rank in a list of links. A GEO audit measures how often generative engines surface your business and what is driving or blocking it. That is the same work as an AI visibility audit; GEO is simply the industry term for the discipline.

How much does an AI visibility audit cost?

Ours is a flat $497. If you move forward with us within 30 days, the full $497 is credited against your setup fee — so it costs nothing if you become a client.

How long does it take?

The intro call is 20 minutes and you can usually get one within a couple of days. If you go ahead, the audit itself takes 3 business days, then a live call to walk through the findings.

Is this different from an SEO audit?

Yes. A traditional SEO audit asks why you do or do not rank on Google. This asks whether AI assistants name you at all, which is a different question with different causes. In our research, businesses with technically perfect websites were often invisible to AI, and businesses with real site defects were frequently recommended.

Can I not just check this myself for free?

Partly, and you should. Our free tools will tell you whether AI names you and whether your site passes the agentic checks. What the paid audit adds is the diagnosis — why it is happening, which of the causes applies to you, and what to do in what order.

What if the audit finds nothing wrong?

That happens, and we will tell you. When we scanned 91 businesses, 70 were already named by AI. If you are one of them, the audit becomes about widening and defending that position rather than fixing an absence — and if there is genuinely nothing worth doing, we will say so.

Do I have to pay before I talk to anyone?

No. You book a short call first — no card, no commitment. We look at your market together on that call, and the $497 is only due if you decide the full audit is worth running.

Do you need access to my website or accounts?

No. Everything is run against publicly available information. No logins, no plugins, nothing to install.

Prefer to look first? Both checks are free: does AI name your business and can an AI agent use your site. Related reading: how to get cited by AI, what zero-click search means.
