Best Roofing Lead Generation Companies (2026)

The best roofing lead generation company depends on which of two things you are buying, and most round-ups blur them. Marketplaces (Angi, HomeAdvisor, Modernize, Networx, CraftJack) sell you a lead, usually shared with 3–10 other roofers, commonly at $20–$100 per shared lead and $100–$200 for exclusive. Agencies (Hook Agency, Scorpion, and others including BaaDigi) build demand you own — SEO, ads, Google Business Profile — on a monthly retainer. Marketplaces buy you calls this week at a cost that never falls. Agencies cost more up front and less per job over time. Neither is "best" in the abstract.

Can an AI agent actually use your website?
AI agents are starting to visit sites on a customer's behalf — comparing companies and requesting quotes. We run the same agentic browsing checks Google built into Chrome and show you what an agent hits when it lands on your site. No email to run it.
How this list was put together
Included: companies with a documented roofing or home-services practice and publicly discussed pricing or model. Pricing figures are compiled from industry publications and contractor reports, not from vendor quotes, and are ranges rather than quotes. BaaDigi publishes this page and is one of the agencies listed — treat our entry with the scepticism that deserves, and read the criteria rather than the ranking.
Category 1: Lead marketplaces
You pay per lead. Volume is available immediately. The lead is usually shared, and reported roofing close rates on shared platforms sit around 5–15% because the same homeowner is contacted by several roofers.
- Angi / HomeAdvisor — the largest source of shared roofing leads, commonly reported at $30–$80 per lead. One company since 2017. Angi rolled out "homeowner choice" in January 2025 and reported Network Leads down 81% year over year in Q3 2025, so volume is materially lower than it was. See is Angi worth it.
- Modernize — QuinStreet-owned, weighted toward higher-intent homeowners closer to a decision; roofing leads commonly reported in the $20–$100+ range.
- Networx and CraftJack — per-lead with category and ZIP targeting, commonly reported around $10–$60+ depending on project type.
- Exclusive lead vendors — $100–$200 per lead is the consistent band. Higher sticker, materially better close rate, because nobody else is calling.
Best for: filling a thin calendar now, testing a new market, or new roofers with no organic presence. Worst for: anyone who has not calculated cost per booked job.

Category 2: Marketing agencies
You pay monthly for work that builds an asset you keep. No leads in week one.
- Hook Agency — roofing-focused SEO and PPC, positioned on quality over volume, and well regarded among larger roofing operations. A genuine specialist. See how they compare.
- Scorpion — enterprise scale, proprietary platform, built for multi-location and franchise operations. Strong resources; heavier cost and less suited to a single-location roofer. See comparison.
- Regional SEO and PPC shops — wide quality range. The useful filter is whether they will show you cost per booked job rather than traffic or rankings.
- BaaDigi — our own entry, disclosed. Local SEO, Google Business Profile, ads and speed-to-lead follow-up, from $297/month (Foundation) and $497/month (Stability). We are a fit for owner-operators and mid-size roofers who want owned demand; we are the wrong call if you need booked jobs next week.
The comparison that actually decides it
Not cost per lead. Cost per booked job:
Cost per booked job = cost per lead ÷ (lead-to-appointment rate × appointment-to-sale rate)
Roofing worked example, using the 5–15% shared close rates reported across platforms:
- $50 shared lead at a 10% close → $500 per booked roof
- $150 exclusive lead at a 30% close → $500 per booked roof
Identical. The three-times-cheaper lead is not cheaper at all. This is the single most common error in roofing lead buying, and it is why "affordable roofing leads" is a misleading thing to search for. Check yours with the roofing benchmarks and roofing lead cost by source.
How to choose, in order
- Work out your maximum affordable cost per booked job. Average roof value times gross margin, then decide what share of that you will spend acquiring the job.
- Fix response time before buying anything. It is free and it changes close rate more than switching vendors will.
- If you need jobs inside 30 days, buy leads — exclusive if the budget allows.
- If you need lower cost per job in 12 months, build owned demand in parallel and taper the lead spend.
- Demand cost-per-booked-job reporting from whoever you hire. An agency that reports only traffic or rankings is not accountable to your P&L.
Who should not hire anyone yet
If you have no Google Business Profile, fewer than 20 reviews, and no way to answer the phone during a job, fix those three first. They are free or close to it, and every paid channel performs better afterwards. An agency that takes your money before telling you this is not worth hiring.
Disclosure
BaaDigi is a contractor marketing agency and appears in the agency list above. We do not sell leads and we are not a neutral party on the marketplace-versus-owned-demand question. Everything here that can be checked, should be — the Angi figures come from Angi Inc's own Q3 2025 filings, and the lead price ranges from industry publications rather than from us.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best roofing lead generation company?▼
There is no single best one, because two different products get grouped together. Marketplaces such as Angi, HomeAdvisor, Modernize, Networx and CraftJack sell shared leads at roughly $20 to $100, giving you calls immediately at a cost that never falls. Agencies such as Hook Agency, Scorpion and BaaDigi build demand you own on a monthly retainer, which costs more up front and less per job over time.
How much do roofing leads cost in 2026?▼
Shared roofing leads are commonly reported at $20 to $100 each, with some marketplaces quoting higher for premium categories. Exclusive roofing leads consistently land in the $100 to $200 band. Because shared leads go to several roofers, reported close rates on shared platforms run about 5 to 15 percent, which is what determines your real cost.
Are exclusive roofing leads worth the higher price?▼
Usually, on the arithmetic. A $50 shared lead closed at 10 percent costs $500 per booked roof. A $150 exclusive lead closed at 30 percent also costs $500 per booked roof, and consumes far less of your team's time chasing homeowners who already hired someone else. Compare cost per booked job, never cost per lead.
Should a roofer hire an agency or buy leads?▼
Both, in sequence, for most roofers. Buy leads if you need booked jobs within 30 days, because owned demand takes 6 to 12 months to carry volume. Build SEO, Google Business Profile and reviews in parallel, then taper lead spend as organic and referral volume covers the gap. Quitting leads cold is what makes the transition fail.
What should I ask a roofing marketing agency before hiring?▼
Ask whether they report cost per booked job, not traffic or rankings. Ask what happens to the website, content and Google Business Profile if you leave. Ask for a roofing client example with market, starting point, timeframe and outcome. An agency that reports only rankings is not accountable to your profit and loss.
Do I need a lead company at all?▼
Not if the basics are missing. If you have no Google Business Profile, fewer than 20 reviews, and no reliable way to answer the phone during a job, fix those first. They cost little or nothing and every paid channel performs better afterwards. Any company that takes your money before telling you this is not worth hiring.
