What Should AI Search Optimization Deliver?
Free Agentic Browsing Audit

Can an AI agent actually use your website?

AI agents are starting to visit sites on a customer's behalf — comparing companies and requesting quotes. We run the same agentic browsing checks Google built into Chrome and show you what an agent hits when it lands on your site. No email to run it.

How do you choose the first service to improve?

Choose work the business actually wants and can handle. Ask the owner which inquiries are useful, where the crew operates and which current pages support those services. Compare that with real search and inquiry records when available. If the records are missing, label the gap and begin collecting them.

Do not let the most dramatic screenshot choose the project. A missing mention for an irrelevant city may deserve no work. A broken estimate form for a core service deserves attention even if the business appears in every sampled answer.

Candidate taskEvidence neededCompletion test
Correct business factsA specific wrong record and approved replacement. The corrected record is publicly visible.
Rewrite a service pageMissing buyer questions or inaccurate scope.Owner-approved answers and a working next step.
Repair page accessA demonstrated response or indexing problem. The affected URL passes the relevant check.
Improve lead handlingLost submissions or unassigned inquiries.A test reaches a named owner with usable details.

What evidence should the office gather before writing?

Build a compact source folder for the selected service. Include the current service area, business-approved prices, work exclusions, estimate process and authorized project evidence. Ask who can approve changes to each item.

For example, a roofing page may need to distinguish repairs from replacement estimates and explain whether a visit has a fee. A plumbing page may need to distinguish scheduled work from genuinely staffed urgent coverage. These are content requirements to confirm with the business, not facts an editor should infer from competing websites.

Mark every unsupported superlative, promised turnaround and claimed result in the existing copy. Either obtain the underlying evidence or replace the claim with an accurate explanation. “We handle these roof types” is useful when true; “the city’s fastest roofer” needs a basis the business can defend.

How do you turn the evidence into a stronger page?

Write the answer to the buyer’s main question first. Then cover the decision conditions: who the service fits, what is included, what can change the scope and how to request the next step. Use a table when it genuinely makes options easier to compare.

  1. Keep the established URL when it still matches the intended topic.
  2. Replace unsupported claims with sourced facts or clearly labeled limits.
  3. Publish approved price information with inclusions and exclusions.
  4. Add relevant project evidence without exposing private customer information.
  5. Link to related services and explanations instead of repeating the same article.
  6. Have the business review the final scope, contact details and promises.

Google’s helpful-content guidance supports original, useful material and clear sourcing. It does not make a fixed word count a substitute for an answer. A concise page can be complete; a long page can still avoid the actual buying question. This is the format our LLM SEO guide lays out: the answer first, real prices published, service facts structured so an engine can quote them.

What should the technical handoff contain?

Give the implementer exact URLs and expected behavior. Request a response check, readable content, relevant internal links and validation of any changed structured data. Keep the contact path in scope: a polished service page is incomplete if its form goes nowhere.

Google states that its AI search features have no special additional optimization requirement. That makes it particularly important to distinguish ordinary technical repairs from speculative AI add-ons. Ask what each proposed addition does and how it will be tested.

Our SEO services are a relevant destination when the work concerns service-page discoverability and search maintenance. A crawler access decision should follow the separate AI crawler controls guide, not a blanket instruction to allow every automated visitor.

How should you release the work without losing useful pages?

Review related URLs before creating or moving anything. If two pages answer the same question, decide which one should own the topic and transfer useful, verified detail before redirecting. If they answer different questions, explain their relationship with links.

Record what changed, why it changed, what remains unchanged and how it will be measured. Save the previous version. Test the published page on a phone, open its internal links and submit a clearly identified test inquiry. Fix a failed release check before expanding the project.

Do not change the title, URL, offer, form and reporting definition all at once without documenting the bundle. You may need several improvements together, but the resulting comparison will not isolate the effect of one paragraph.

What should a completed change record contain?

FieldUseful entry
ProblemThe observed error or missing buyer answer
EvidenceOriginal URL, saved finding and approved source facts
ChangeWhat was edited and who accepted the factual scope
VerificationLive result, working links and relevant technical checks
Follow-upOutcome measure, review period and remaining uncertainty

A task is not complete just because a draft exists. Confirm that the intended copy is publicly visible and the contact route still works. Preserve that distinction when comparing AEO and SEO proposals; both labels need a verifiable definition of completed work.

Which measurements belong in the follow-up report?

Use a delivery section and an outcomes section. Delivery records whether the work was completed and verified. Outcomes record search visits, sampled mentions, source links and actual inquiries without treating them as interchangeable.

Set the baseline honestly. Among 254 free audits that ran the check, Perplexity named the business for its own service-and-city question 23.2% of the time. Most contractors start from zero mentions, so the first report should show the fixes shipped, not a mention count that was always going to be small.

Keep lead qualification definitions consistent. Separate wrong-service requests from valid inquiries that the office did not answer. If reporting is incomplete, fix that limitation before claiming an acquisition-cost improvement. The Predictable Work Dashboard is BaaDigi’s transparency point; agree on the data connected and the meaning of each reported outcome.

The AI search visibility check can establish observations. BaaDigi’s $497 audit for one business and one market can help define a prioritized scope. Implementation should follow demonstrated needs, not be sold as an automatic consequence of a score.

What if visibility does not produce a click?

Read the zero-click search measurement guide to distinguish an answer appearance from a website visit and a qualified inquiry. Use each metric for the question it can answer rather than treating exposure as attributable revenue.

Bring one important service, its existing page and the evidence behind the problem to a scoping call with BaaDigi. A focused first release gives the next decision something concrete to build on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should an AI search project start with new blog posts?▼

Rarely. Inspect the service pages, public records and inquiry path first; a broken form or an inaccurate offer outranks any new article.

What should I give the writer before a service-page rewrite?▼

The actual services, coverage, approved pricing, estimate process and meaningful exclusions. Add authorized project evidence and identify who can approve the final claims. Mark information that is still unknown rather than letting the writer fill it with competitor figures. A good brief makes clear what the business can promise and what requires an individual assessment.

How do I know whether an agency completed the work?▼

Require a list of changed URLs, the purpose of each change and a completion check you can run yourself. Review the published content on a phone, submit a labeled test inquiry and confirm it reaches a named person. Ask for the technical evidence behind any claimed fix: a screenshot of a passing check, not a sentence saying it passed. Keep a copy of the earlier version and a record of unresolved issues. An updated date, a bigger word count or a schema plugin does not demonstrate that the agreed business problem has been fixed. The audit data is a useful reminder here: 59.5% of the 1,047 sites we audited already had schema markup, and most of them still had the same missing prices and vague service scope. Presence of markup is not completion.

Can I attribute new inquiries to a single content edit?▼

Usually the records support a narrower statement than that. Document the edit alongside advertising, seasonality, tracking and other site changes, then compare consistent outcomes. If several things changed together, report the bundle rather than crediting one paragraph.
