Which Junk Removal Marketing Agency Is Worth Hiring in 2026?
Junk removal is a trade with a franchise alternative built into its vocabulary: Junk Removal Authority, the most-named agency in our test, sells itself as the way to get 1-800-GOT-JUNK's marketing without the 8% fee. On 2026-09-11 we asked Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini ten questions a hauler would type, thirty answers, and counted the agencies named. Junk Removal Authority 16, Blue Crocus Solutions 13, Junk Marketing Team 10, Outdooit 10, OLM Media 9, Built Right Digital 7, and BaaDigi 4, our best result in any trade, with ChatGPT twice naming our More Booked Hauls program. Below are the counts, every published price, and the lead-cost and franchise numbers a hauler should hold any agency against.

The Short Answer
Junk removal is a same-day, price-shopped purchase with a $150–$500 ticket, so the plan is Local Services Ads and the Google Business Profile first, search ads second, and an agency only if it reports cost per booked job. On price: Footbridge Media publishes $249 a month with no contract; Junk Removal SEO Crew starts at $600 month-to-month with a 90-day guarantee; BaaDigi runs $297–$3,997 month-to-month; Outdooit states $2,600 a month on its own list. The agencies AI engines name most, Junk Removal Authority, Blue Crocus and Junk Marketing Team, publish no rate card, though Junk Marketing Team publishes named lead counts and costs ($20–$24 per lead) and says it never locks clients into a contract. Whatever you choose, the franchise benchmark is public: 1-800-GOT-JUNK charges 8% of gross for sales, marketing and technology plus local minimums, and College Hunks the greater of 8% or $1,100 a month per zone. An independent's agency should cost less than that and leave you owning the accounts.

How we tested which agencies AI engines actually recommend
On 2026-09-11 we asked ten questions a hauler might type, including "Best marketing agency for junk removal companies?", "Affordable marketing agency for a small junk removal company?" and "Which junk removal marketing agencies publish their pricing?", to Perplexity (sonar), ChatGPT with web search (gpt-4o) and Google's Gemini with Search grounding. Thirty answers, all returned. We counted each answer that named an agency, dropped a seed that matched the generic phrase "junk removal marketing", and merged Blue Corona into RYNO. BaaDigi: 4 of 30, with ChatGPT naming More Booked Hauls twice, Perplexity once and Gemini once. Blue Crocus, OLM Media, Anytime Digital and Olly Olly were named but not reviewed on their own sites, and the table says so.
What the engines cited: OLM Media's blog (27 citations), Top Marketing Agencies (20), Outdooit's list (19), Junk Marketing Team (9) and baadigi.com (7). Top Marketing Agencies lists BaaDigi under "also worth considering" and notes some featured agencies are members of its network; Outdooit ranks itself third and says so; Hook's 2023 list omits Hook and effectively promotes Blue Crocus.
The franchise benchmark every independent should price against
1-800-GOT-JUNK's franchise disclosure lists a $25,000 initial marketing spend, an 8% sales, marketing and technology fee on gross, $3,600–$5,000 of local spend for the first three months and up to 5% co-op. College Hunks charges a 2% brand fund, 1% technology, and local advertising of the greater of 8% of gross or $1,100 a month per zone. Google does not add a franchise surcharge to anyone's clicks; franchise bids raise your cost only in auctions you share. So an independent hauler doing $600,000 a year is comparing any agency against roughly $48,000 a year of franchise marketing fees. An agency at $1,500–$3,500 a month is under that; an agency at $7,500 a month is not, and it had better own nothing of yours at the end.
What haulers complain about after they sign
Paying for contacts, not jobs.** Angi's own 10-K says pros pay for leads "regardless of whether the pro ultimately provides the service"; Thumbtack charges for the connection with refunds only within 45 days and none for non-hires. One junk owner reported Thumbtack refunding about half of spend as fraudulent, and LSA charges of $65 for a mattress, $70 for a free paint pickup and $100 for a recliner. Another spent about $400 on Angi with zero responses. **Agencies that produce nothing: an owner hired a Google Ads manager and got "not even one phone call". **Terms**: Angi at 12 months with a 30–35% early exit; agencies at three to twelve months. **Wrong-category clicks**: DIY, commercial dumpster and municipal searches billed as junk leads. Every one of these is a contract clause.
What a junk removal marketing contract should say
Lead definition** in writing, with the invalid-lead policy (free pickups, out-of-area, dumpster rental requests) and exclusivity. **Ownership: Google Ads, LSA, Google Business Profile, GA4, site and tracking numbers in your name; access to search terms and negatives. **Fees**: management itemized from media; a hard budget cap. **Call tracking live before launch**, because a junk lead that rings an unanswered phone is gone in minutes. **Reporting**: cost per booked job, not cost per lead. **Term**: 30-day exit after a 90-day ramp is the buyer-friendly standard; Junk Marketing Team, Junk Removal SEO Crew, Footbridge and BaaDigi publish no lock-in. **Territory**: ask who else the agency serves in your ZIP codes.
How to choose by size
One truck: LSA and a complete Google Business Profile at $30–$65 a lead, a fixed-price site (Footbridge $249 or BaaDigi's Foundation engine $297), and a phone that is answered from the truck. No retainer yet.
Two to four trucks: $1,500–$3,500 a month is the specialist range by third-party guides. Junk Marketing Team (no contract, published lead results), Junk Removal SEO Crew (from $600), BaaDigi's Stability and Predictability engines ($497, $1,397) or Junk Removal Authority by quote.
Five trucks or multi-city: Junk Removal Authority (operations plus marketing), Outdooit ($2,600), Hook (above $3M) or BaaDigi's Market Control engine ($3,997), priced against the 8% franchise benchmark.
**Do not hire anyone yet** if the Google Business Profile has under ten reviews or same-day calls go to voicemail. In this trade the caller books the first company that answers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which junk removal marketing agencies publish their pricing?
Footbridge Media ($249 a month flat, no contract), Junk Removal SEO Crew (SEO from $600 a month, month-to-month), BaaDigi ($297 to $3,997 a month, month-to-month), Outdooit ($2,600 a month, stated on its own list) and Hook Agency (local SEO from $2,800). Built Right Digital publishes tiers from $1,499 on its pricing page. Junk Removal Authority, Blue Crocus, Junk Marketing Team, OLM Media, Scorpion and RYNO do not publish junk removal pricing; Junk Removal Money sells courses. Third-party guides put specialist retainers at $1,500–$3,500 a month.
How much should a junk removal company spend on marketing?
Use the franchise numbers as the ceiling: 1-800-GOT-JUNK's 8% sales, marketing and technology fee on gross, or College Hunks' greater of 8% or $1,100 a month per zone. Below that, the channel benchmarks: LSA $30–$65 per lead, tuned Google search $35–$50 and new accounts $60–$80 ($80–$160-plus in big metros), Thumbtack $18–$80 shared, Angi $15–$85 plus about $300 a year. A one-truck hauler can run LSA, a complete Google Business Profile and a $249–$297 site for under $1,000 a month; a four-truck company is realistically $2,000–$4,000 a month plus media.
Is Angi or Thumbtack worth it for junk removal?
Only with a capped test. Angi's 10-K states pros pay for leads whether or not they do the job, one homeowner request can generate several leads, and third-party summaries describe 12-month contracts with a 30–35% early-exit fee; owners report $130 per lead and unauthorized charges. Thumbtack charges per connection with refunds only within 45 days; one hauler had about half of spend refunded as fraudulent. Local Services Ads deliver a $30–$65 lead that came to you and can be disputed, so LSA plus the Google Business Profile is the first paid channel for a licensed hauler.
Does 1-800-GOT-JUNK make Google Ads more expensive for independents?
Only in the auctions you share. Google adds no franchise surcharge; a national franchisee's bid raises your click cost when you both bid on the same term in the same area. Franchise disclosures show how much marketing weight sits behind those bids (1-800-GOT-JUNK: $25,000 initial marketing plus 8% of gross ongoing; College Hunks: 2% brand fund, 1% technology, local ads at 8% or $1,100 a month per zone). The independent's edge is Local Services Ads, the Google Business Profile and long-tail city-plus-service terms, where the franchise weight matters less.
Who do AI engines recommend for junk removal marketing?
In our 2026-09-11 test of 30 answers across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, Junk Removal Authority was named 16 times, Blue Crocus Solutions 13, Junk Marketing Team 10, Outdooit 10, OLM Media 9, Built Right Digital 7, Hook Agency 5, Anytime Digital 5, Olly Olly 5, BaaDigi 4, Scorpion 3, Spearcrest 3 and Footbridge 2. ChatGPT named BaaDigi's More Booked Hauls program twice. The most-cited sources were OLM Media's blog and two agency-published lists.
What should be in a junk removal marketing contract?
A written definition of a billable lead with the invalid-lead policy (free pickups, out-of-area, dumpster and commercial requests); exclusivity; a hard monthly budget cap; fees itemized from media; your ownership of Google Ads, LSA, Google Business Profile, GA4, site and tracking numbers with search-term and negative-keyword access; call tracking live before launch; reporting by cost per booked job; a 90-day ramp then 30-day exit; and a statement of who else the agency serves in your ZIP codes.
