Which HVAC SEO Company Should You Hire in 2026?

This page is about SEO only: ranking in Google's organic results, the map pack, and now ChatGPT and Google's AI answers. If you want ads, websites and lead buying compared too, see our HVAC marketing agencies comparison. WebFX's SEO plans carry a 6-month commitment, Hook Agency asks for a yearly commitment, and Scorpion's FAQ says SEO typically runs on a 12-month contract. RYNO/Blue Corona, HVAC Webmasters, Relentless Digital and Mediagistic do not publish a term.

Which HVAC SEO companies help you show up in ChatGPT and AI search?

Priced on their own sites: Hook Agency sells AEO at $4,000 a month, or $2,000 added to SEO; HVAC Foundry includes AI search (GEO) in its $2,500 retainer; CI Web Group's SEO/AEO/GEO agent starts at $1,000. Listed without a separate price: WebFX (an HVAC AI SEO page), RYNO (generative engine optimization), First Page Sage (HVAC SEO and GEO), HVAC Webmasters (answer engine optimization) and Thrive (AI SEO). Google says its AI features need no special optimization beyond sound SEO, so ask for the exact prompts an agency will track for your city.

How we tested which HVAC SEO companies AI engines recommend

On 2026-09-30 we asked ten questions an HVAC owner might type, including "Best SEO company for HVAC companies?", "Affordable SEO company for a small HVAC company?", "What agency helps HVAC companies show up in ChatGPT and AI search?" and "Which SEO companies publish their pricing for HVAC companies?", to Perplexity (sonar), ChatGPT with web search (gpt-4o) and Google's Gemini with Search grounding. Thirty answers, all returned. We counted every answer that named a company, merged Blue Corona into RYNO because they are one company, and left software and directories (ServiceTitan, Clutch) out of the table. ServiceTitan was named in 7 Google answers.

**The engines disagreed.** Perplexity named Thrive and WebFX in 8 of its 10 answers each, and First Page Sage in 7. Google's answers leaned on trades specialists: RYNO/Blue Corona in all 10, Hook Agency and HVAC Webmasters in 7 each, and CI Web Group and Relentless Digital in 5 each. ChatGPT named HVAC Webmasters, Blue Corona and WebFX most, and HVAC Foundry in 4. Four answers, three from ChatGPT and one from Perplexity, named no company at all.

Also named, outside the table: Net Rocket, Focus Digital, KickCharge Creative and Web Tonic (3 answers each), plus Valve+Meter, Comrade, Lemon Seed and a long tail of small firms.

Where BaaDigi showed up: nowhere by name. Perplexity cited our HVAC SEO page as a source in its answer about AI search, but did not name us. 0 of 30 is the honest baseline.

What changed for HVAC SEO buyers from 2024 to 2026

**October 2024: RYNO and Blue Corona merged.** The two home-services agencies now operate under the RYNO Strategic Solutions name, per Blue Corona's own announcement, and RYNO's site says "Formerly Blue Corona". AI engines still name Blue Corona more often than RYNO, which is why they share one row.

**May 20, 2025: Google AI Mode.** Google started rolling out AI Mode to everyone in the U.S., a full AI answer experience inside Search. That is the main reason nearly every company in the table now sells some form of AI search work, from Hook's $4,000 AEO line to HVAC Foundry including it in $2,500.

**July 2025: fewer clicks when an AI summary appears.** Pew Research Center's study of 900 U.S. adults' March 2025 browsing found Google users clicked a traditional result on 8% of visits when an AI summary appeared, against 15% when none did. For an HVAC company, a #3 organic ranking is worth less than it was; the map pack and being named in the AI answer are worth more.

**October 2025: "Google Guaranteed" is gone.** Google announced on August 20, 2025 that starting in October a single Google Verified badge would replace Google Guaranteed and the other Local Services Ads badges. Two of the Google answers in our test still told HVAC owners to get the "Google Guaranteed" badge, so check any SEO proposal that bundles one.

Who wrote the lists the AI engines read

Apart from Google's own redirect links and Clutch's directory (30 citations), the most-cited sites were webfx.com (26), seo.com (20), firstpagesage.com (17), thriveagency.com (16), hvacfound.com (13) and webtonic.io (11). That explains a lot of the table. WebFX's HVAC SEO list ranks WebFX first and says so ("Did we put ourselves on the list? Yes"); SEO.com's HVAC list is "Written by WebFX Marketing Experts" and also ranks WebFX first, so 46 of the citations came from WebFX-written pages. First Page Sage's HVAC SEO list ranks First Page Sage first. Thrive's HVAC marketing list ranks Thrive first. HVAC Foundry's list ranks HVAC Foundry first and says openly that every page-one list it checked does the same. Two exceptions: Web Tonic's list puts Net Rocket first and Web Tonic second, and Hook Agency's HVAC SEO list puts Hook seventh. None of that makes a list wrong, but it explains why a company can dominate AI answers for a query it wrote the source page for.

Map pack, AI search and seasonality: what to ask each company

**Map pack.** Most HVAC repair calls come from the Google map results, so the Google Business Profile matters as much as the website. Hook sells a separate Google Maps SEO service; Relentless Digital sells Google Business Profile management and its written policy says you are always the owner of your profile; HVAC Webmasters' DataPins pins completed jobs to your service pages; First Page Sage reports map-pack position. Google's own rules say the business should hold ownership and an agency must give control back within 7 business days of your notice.

**AI search.** Priced: Hook ($4,000, or $2,000 added to SEO), HVAC Foundry (included in $2,500), CI Web Group (agent from $1,000). Listed, not priced: WebFX, RYNO, First Page Sage, HVAC Webmasters and Thrive. Google says its AI features need no special optimization beyond sound SEO, so pay extra only for named prompts tracked in your city with a baseline.

**Seasonality.** EIA data shows home electricity use peaks in July and August with cooling demand, and heating searches rise in winter. HVAC Webmasters' own site notes "ac repair" is more popular in summer and "heating repair" in winter. SEO takes months, so AC pages need to rank before the first heat wave and furnace pages before the first cold snap. Ask any company for its seasonal content calendar in writing.

What HVAC owners run into after signing an SEO contract

**Surprise terms.** In a 2026 BBB complaint against Scorpion, an HVAC company says it was told the engagement was month-to-month, then learned that $2,000 of what it paid was committed to a 12-month obligation. Scorpion replied that the 12-month commitment was in the signed agreement. Scorpion does publish that term in its FAQ; read it before signing.

**Losing control of the profile.** In another 2026 complaint, a business says Scorpion kept Primary Owner status on its Google Business Profile after the engagement ended. Scorpion replied that the requests went to an unmonitored inbox and that it transferred ownership.

**Reports of rankings, not jobs.** ACHR News put it plainly in January 2026: "Clicks, impressions, and rankings are inputs. Revenue is the outcome contractors should evaluate," and "The contractor should own their website, call tracking, ad accounts, reviews, and CRM data." Contractor Magazine's September 2026 scan of 1,000 contractor websites found only about 3 in 10 could connect an ad click to a call or booked job; HVAC did modestly better at 33%. Ask any SEO company to report calls and booked jobs by source.

Which HVAC SEO company fits your size?

One to three trucks: fix the free things first, a complete Google Business Profile, steady reviews and a page for every service and town. If you hire, look at published, no-term entry points: Thrive's general SEO from $500, CI Web Group's agent from $1,000, HVAC Foundry at $2,500 with AI search included, or BaaDigi from $297. Avoid a 12-month term while you are still learning what works.

Four to ten trucks: $2,500 to $3,000 a month buys real HVAC SEO. HVAC Foundry ($2,500, month-to-month), Hook Agency (from $2,800, yearly commitment, plus $2,000 for AI search), HVAC Webmasters (quote after a call) or BaaDigi's $1,397 plan with AI visibility tracking.

Multi-location or $10M+: WebFX (from $3,000 on a 6-month commitment), RYNO/Blue Corona and Scorpion on custom quotes, First Page Sage for content-heavy and commercial work, and Mediagistic or CI Web Group if manufacturer and distributor programs matter to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best SEO company for HVAC companies?

There is no single best, but the companies AI engines named most in our 2026-09-30 test of 30 answers were WebFX (19), RYNO Strategic Solutions including Blue Corona (17), HVAC Webmasters (15), Hook Agency (15), First Page Sage (14) and Thrive (13). HVAC Webmasters and HVAC Foundry are HVAC-only; WebFX and Thrive are general agencies. Two of the lists the engines cited most were written by WebFX. Choose on published price, contract term and who owns the site and Google Business Profile, not on a list the agency wrote itself.

How much should HVAC SEO cost per month?

Published starting prices from companies AI engines name run from $500 (Thrive's general small-business SEO) to $1,000 (CI Web Group's agent), $2,500 (HVAC Foundry, AI search included), $2,800 (Hook Agency) and $3,000 (WebFX, on a 6-month commitment). BaaDigi publishes $297 to $3,997. RYNO/Blue Corona, First Page Sage, Scorpion, Relentless Digital and Mediagistic quote by call. Judge any of them on calls and booked jobs from organic search after six months, not on rankings.

Should an HVAC company sign a 12-month SEO contract?

Only with an exit clause and ownership in writing. Scorpion's FAQ says SEO typically runs 12 months, Hook Agency asks for a yearly commitment, and WebFX's SEO plans carry a 6-month commitment. HVAC Foundry, CI Web Group, Thrive, First Page Sage and BaaDigi publish month-to-month or no-long-term terms. Whatever the term, the contract should name you as primary owner of the Google Business Profile and owner of the domain, website files, Search Console and GA4.

Is Blue Corona the same company as RYNO?

Yes. Blue Corona and RYNO Strategic Solutions merged in October 2024 under the RYNO name, and RYNO's site now says "Formerly Blue Corona". AI engines still list them as two agencies, so we merged them: together they were named in 17 of 30 answers in our test, 10 of them on Google. RYNO does not publish SEO pricing or a contract term, and says you own your website outright.

Does Google still have the Google Guaranteed badge for HVAC companies?

No. Google announced on August 20, 2025 that starting in October 2025 a single Google Verified badge would replace Google Guaranteed and the other Local Services Ads badges. Two Google answers in our test still told HVAC owners to get a "Google Guaranteed" badge. Local Services Ads are paid, not SEO, so if an SEO proposal leans on that badge, ask what else in it is out of date.

Which HVAC SEO companies publish their pricing?

WebFX (SEO from $3,000; $2,900 to $9,200 a month after the first two months), Hook Agency (SEO from $2,800, AEO $4,000 or $2,000 added), HVAC Foundry ($2,500 with AI search included), CI Web Group (SEO/AEO/GEO agent from $1,000), Thrive (general SEO from $500) and BaaDigi ($297 to $3,997). HVAC Webmasters publishes only "$99 to Start". RYNO/Blue Corona, First Page Sage, Scorpion, Relentless Digital and Mediagistic publish no SEO price.
