Which Roofing SEO Company Should You Hire in 2026?
This page is about SEO only: ranking your site, winning the Google Maps 3-pack and showing up in AI answers. If you want one agency to run ads, website and SEO together, read our roofing marketing agencies comparison instead (linked below). On 2026-09-30 we asked Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini ten questions a roofer would type, such as "Best SEO company for roofing companies?" and "Which SEO companies publish their pricing for roofing companies?", thirty answers in all, and counted the agencies named. Roofing Webmasters was named in 20, Hook Agency in 19, Thrive in 13, WebFX in 10 and RYNO Strategic Solutions (merged with Blue Corona in October 2024) in 10. BaaDigi was named 0 times. Below: the counts, every SEO price and contract term each agency publishes on its own site, what changed for roofing SEO since 2023, what the AI answers got wrong, and how map pack, AI search and storm season work differ by agency.

The Short Answer
Roofing SEO companies split three ways. Roofing-first shops (Roofing Webmasters, Roofex SEO, CinchLocal, and JobNimbus Marketing, formerly Roofer Marketers) build around storm and insurance searches; Roofex and CinchLocal take one roofer per market. National agencies (Hook, Thrive, WebFX, RYNO/Blue Corona, Scorpion) bring scale. Published SEO prices on the agencies' own sites: Thrive from $500 a month, Built Right Digital SEO $999 or $3,499, Loopex from $1,500, Skill Mammoth $350 to $1,500 support plans, Roofex from $2,000, Hook SEO from $2,800, WebFX roofing SEO from $3,000. Terms differ more than prices: Hook asks for a yearly commitment, Scorpion typically 12 months for SEO, WebFX's SEO table shows a 6-month commitment, while Roofex, CinchLocal, Loopex, Thrive and Built Right are month-to-month. BaaDigi publishes $297 to $3,997 month-to-month.

How we tested which roofing SEO companies AI engines recommend
On 2026-09-30 we asked ten questions a roofing owner might type, including "Best SEO company for roofing companies?", "Affordable SEO company for a small roofing company?", "What agency helps roofing companies show up in ChatGPT and AI search?" and "Which SEO companies publish their pricing for roofing companies?", to Perplexity (sonar), ChatGPT with web search (gpt-4o) and Google's Gemini with Search grounding. Thirty answers, all returned. We counted every answer that named an agency and merged Blue Corona into RYNO.
**The engines disagreed.** Google named Roofing Webmasters in all 10 of its answers and Hook in 9. Perplexity named Thrive in 7 of its 10. ChatGPT leaned on small firms that publish their own lists: Optra and Edgerank 4 times each, SiteMile 3. Six of the 30 answers, five of them ChatGPT, named no agency at all.
Also named, outside the table: DataPins (8; it is Roofing Webmasters' software, not a separate agency), Optra (4), Edgerank (4), SiteMile (4), Comrade and Fuel Online. Connectica, Roofing SEO Services, BlackStorm Roofing Marketing, Top Rankings and 1Digital were also named in the raw answers. Of those, Top Rankings publishes $2,000, $7,000 and $9,000 monthly tiers and Connectica publishes $500 to $3,500 a month on their own sites.
Where BaaDigi showed up: nowhere. Not named, not cited. 0 of 30 is the honest baseline.
Roofing SEO company or roofing marketing agency?
An SEO company ranks your website, your Google Business Profile in the Maps 3-pack, and increasingly your name in AI answers. A marketing agency adds Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Meta ads and usually the website build. Most of the agencies above sell both, so the label matters less than what the proposal covers.
Buy SEO on its own if you already have a fast site, someone running paid search, and the problem is that you do not show up when nobody is paying for the click. Buy full-service if you also need storm-response ads or a new site. For the full-service side, with Hook, RYNO, Scorpion and the rest compared on ads and websites, see our roofing marketing agencies comparison, linked in the resources on this page. For how the two channels trade off in cost per lead, see our PPC vs SEO for roofers guide.
What changed for roofing SEO from 2023 to 2026
**October 2025: "Google Guaranteed" is gone.** Google announced on August 20, 2025 that starting in October a single Google Verified badge would replace Google Guaranteed and the other Local Services Ads badges. One Google answer in our test still told roofers to set up "Google Guaranteed" profiles, so check any SEO proposal that bundles LSA work.
**May 2025: AI Mode for everyone in the U.S.** Google said on May 20, 2025 that AI Mode would start rolling out to everyone in the U.S. That is why AEO now shows up as a line item: Hook prices it at $4,000 a month and Built Right Digital at $2,999.
**October 2024: RYNO and Blue Corona merged.** The two home-services agencies now operate under RYNO Strategic Solutions, per Blue Corona's own announcement. AI answers still say "Blue Corona" far more than "RYNO".
**March 2024: Google's spam policies.** With the March 2024 core update, Google added a scaled content abuse policy. Its doorway abuse policy already covers "multiple domain names or pages targeted at specific regions or cities that funnel users to one page". Cheap roofing SEO built on hundreds of near-identical city pages is the risk here.
**April 2023: Roofer Marketers became part of JobNimbus.** The roofing CRM JobNimbus says it acquired Roofer Marketers in early 2023 (its press release is dated April 10, 2023), and the agency now operates as JobNimbus Marketing. Six Google answers still used the old name.
What the AI answers got wrong
We checked the specific claims against each agency's own site. **Hook's price**: one Google answer gave Hook retainer and tier figures that do not appear on Hook's pricing page, which lists SEO from $2,800 a month. **Thrive's price**: a Perplexity answer gave Thrive a monthly price range that, on Thrive's roofing page, is only the lowest choice in the contact form's budget menu. Thrive's own article says pricing starts at $500. **Roofing Webmasters' founder**: one Google answer named someone else; the agency's site names its founder as Nolen Walker. **Roofing Webmasters' price**: two ChatGPT answers repeated a starting price taken from a competitor's list; Roofing Webmasters' own site describes only "a small charge" that it refunds if you are not satisfied, and its /pricing page returns a 404. **Blue Corona's owner**: one Google answer placed Blue Corona under a different parent company; Blue Corona's own announcement says it merged with RYNO. If an AI answer gives you a price, open the agency's pricing page before you plan around it.
Who wrote the lists the AI engines read
Apart from Google's own redirect links, the most-cited sites were clutch.co (20 citations, a directory), webfx.com (16), sitemile.com (15), thriveagency.com (14), edgerankagency.com (12), builtrightdigital.com (10), highervisibility.com (9) and silverbackstrategies.com (9). Nearly every agency list ranks its publisher first: SiteMile's ranks SiteMile first, Edgerank's ranks Edgerank first, Built Right Digital's ranks Built Right Digital first, Thrive's ranks Thrive first, Connectica's ranks Connectica first, HigherVisibility's calls itself best overall and Loopex's ranks Loopex first and Roofex second. Silverback Strategies' list puts Hook first and Silverback second. That is why ChatGPT's answers named small firms like Optra, Edgerank and SiteMile that Google never mentioned.
Map pack, AI search and storm season: what each agency says it does
**Map pack and Google Business Profile.** Google says local ranking comes down to relevance, distance and prominence, and distance is set by your address or service area, not by your agency. Roofing Webmasters leans on DataPins job-site check-ins and review requests. CinchLocal reports with geo-grid scans across your service area. Roofex says the Map Pack drives today's calls and organic rankings drive next month's. Ask any agency to show a geo-grid scan, not one ranking from the office.
**AI search (AEO).** Priced as a line item: Hook $4,000 a month ($2,000 added to SEO), Built Right Digital $2,999. Included in the SEO program: Roofing Webmasters, Roofex, CinchLocal, Loopex and Skill Mammoth. Sold as separate services: WebFX and Thrive. Not stated on the roofing pages we read: Blue Corona, Scorpion and JobNimbus Marketing.
**Storm season.** Roofex says it builds separate pages for hail-damage and insurance searches and for retail replacement searches. CinchLocal builds city pages on local storm history. JobNimbus Marketing says its sites and ads are built to capture demand when storms hit. Hook says one client landed 1,200 leads in three weeks after a storm. Roofing Contractor's July 2026 piece puts it plainly: you can't build visibility from scratch in 48 hours. SEO is the work you do before the storm; ads are what you turn on after it, so get those two priced separately.
What a roofing SEO contract should say
Term and exit: the initial term, renewal, notice period and any early-exit fee. Roofing SEO terms on these sites range from rolling 30 days (Loopex) to 6 months (WebFX, Skill Mammoth) to 12 months (Hook's yearly commitment, Scorpion). **Ownership**: domain, website files, content, Google Business Profile and Google Analytics in your company's name. Scorpion says you own the site but not its underlying system; Built Right keeps financed websites until they are paid off. **Territory**: Roofex and CinchLocal put one-roofer-per-area in writing; if exclusivity matters, get the ZIP codes or cities listed. **Deliverables**: city pages that are genuinely different, a list of the sites links come from, and monthly reporting on calls and booked inspections. **Guarantees**: Google says no one can guarantee a number-one ranking, and the FTC shut down Pointbreak Media, whose callers sold small businesses first-page Google placement. Treat a ranking guarantee as a red flag. **Fee transparency**: if SEO is bundled with ads, Google's third-party policy requires agencies to be transparent about costs, so ask for the SEO fee and ad spend as separate lines.
How to choose a roofing SEO company by size
Under about $1M, or one or two crews: a complete Google Business Profile, a review request on every job and a phone that gets answered come first, and they cost nothing. Then a low published price on short terms: Thrive from $500, Skill Mammoth from $350, BaaDigi from $297, or Built Right Digital's $999 SEO plan.
$1M to $3M: $1,500 to $3,500 a month in SEO fees. Loopex from $1,500 on 30-day terms, Roofex from $2,000 with territory exclusivity, CinchLocal (which says it fits roofers around $1M and up), Top Rankings' $2,000 Local Roofer plan, or BaaDigi at $1,397. Roofing Webmasters fits here on monthly terms if you will use DataPins.
$3M to $15M: Hook (SEO from $2,800 on a yearly commitment, and the clearest published AEO price), WebFX (from $3,000 on a 6-month commitment) or Thrive. Add AEO only if you can see a before-and-after of what ChatGPT says in your city.
Multi-location or private-equity-backed: RYNO/Blue Corona, Scorpion and WebFX have the reporting scale. Ask for the contract term and exit terms before the proposal, not after.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which roofing SEO companies publish their pricing?
On their own sites: Thrive (pricing starts at $500), Skill Mammoth ($350, $750 and $1,500 support plans), Built Right Digital (SEO $999 and $3,499, AEO $2,999), Loopex (from $1,500), Roofex SEO (from $2,000, usually $2,000 to $5,000), Top Rankings ($2,000, $7,000, $9,000), Hook Agency (SEO from $2,800, AEO $4,000), WebFX (roofing SEO from $3,000) and BaaDigi ($297 to $3,997). Blue Corona publishes a $2,500 to $10,000+ range. Roofing Webmasters, JobNimbus Marketing, CinchLocal and Scorpion publish no monthly price.
Is Roofing Webmasters any good?
It is the roofing SEO company AI engines named most in our test: 20 of 30 answers, including all 10 Google answers. It works only with roofers, says it has 16+ years of experience with 1,000+ roofing companies, includes AEO, and runs month-to-month after a small refundable start fee. Its method leans on DataPins, its own app for job-site check-ins and review requests, so it works best if your crews will use it. It does not publish a monthly price; ask for one in writing.
Do roofing SEO companies require long-term contracts?
Some do. Hook Agency asks for a yearly commitment, Scorpion typically requires 12 months for SEO and its technology, and WebFX's SEO pricing table shows a 6-month commitment. Skill Mammoth runs 6 months, then month-to-month. Roofex SEO, CinchLocal, Loopex (rolling 30 days), Thrive, Built Right Digital's full-service plans, Roofing Webmasters and BaaDigi are month-to-month, and Blue Corona says it does not use long-term contracts.
Which roofing SEO companies offer territory exclusivity?
On their own sites, Roofex SEO takes one roofing company per service area and confirms boundaries in writing during onboarding, and CinchLocal works with one roofing contractor per protected area. Several AI answers told roofers to demand exclusivity, but most agencies in our table do not state a policy on their roofing pages. If it matters, get the protected cities or ZIP codes in the contract.
Does Google still have the Google Guaranteed badge for roofers?
No. Google announced on August 20, 2025 that starting in October 2025 a single Google Verified badge would replace Google Guaranteed and the other Local Services Ads badges. One Google answer in our test still told roofers to set up Google Guaranteed profiles. LSAs are a paid channel, not SEO, so if a roofing SEO proposal bundles them, ask for that work priced separately.
How long does roofing SEO take to work?
Roofing Webmasters says most clients see substantial improvement within 90 days of a new site launching, and one Google answer in our test put steady lead flow at 3 to 6 months. Roofing Contractor's July 2026 piece notes you can't build visibility from scratch in the 48 hours after a storm, so SEO has to be in place before storm season. Ask for monthly reporting on calls and booked inspections, not just rankings.
