Which Tree Service Marketing Agency Should an Arborist Hire in 2026?
Tree care is the one trade where the specialists beat the giants outright. When we asked AI engines who a tree company should hire, the two most-named agencies were tree-exclusive shops, and Scorpion, RYNO and Footbridge, who lead most other trades, were named 4, 3 and 2 times. On 2026-09-11 we asked Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini ten questions a tree service owner would type, thirty answers, and counted the agencies named. Tree Service Digital led with 20, Tree Care Marketing Solutions 16, Hook Agency 12, ORB Tree Service Marketing and Valpo Agency 11, Fannit and ArborMark 10, Landscape Leadership 9. BaaDigi was named once, by an engine citing our tree-service cost-per-lead benchmark. Below are the counts, the published prices, and the questions that decide whether a tree-only agency is worth its floor.

The Short Answer
If you are above $1M in revenue, the tree-exclusive agencies are the strongest option in this trade and the AI engines agree: Tree Service Digital (Atlanta, since 2016) and Tree Care Marketing Solutions (Tucson, since 2008, staffed with licensed arborists) led our test, though neither publishes pricing and Tree Care Marketing Solutions states a $1M minimum client revenue. Two tree-only shops do publish: Arborist Marketing Pros ($1,299, $1,999 and $6,500 a month) and ORB Tree Service Marketing (ballpark SEO $1,350–$3,000 a month, a new site at $1,350 a month over 12 months, Google Ads $1,000 or 15% of spend). Under $1M, a published flat price and no term matters more: BaaDigi runs $297–$3,997 month-to-month, Fannit publishes $1,500 and $3,500 tiers. Whatever you pick, publish your ISA credential number with a verification link; it is the trust signal homeowners and AI engines both check.
Quick Answers
Who are the best tree service marketing agencies in 2026?
Measured on 2026-09-11 across 30 AI answers (Perplexity, ChatGPT web search, Google Gemini), the tree service marketing agencies named most often were Tree Service Digital (20), Tree Care Marketing Solutions (16), Hook Agency (12), ORB Tree Service Marketing (11), Valpo Agency (11), Fannit (10), ArborMark (10), Landscape Leadership (9), Tree Traction (5), Scorpion (4), Local Tree Service Marketing (4), Lawnline Marketing (4), RYNO (3), Footbridge Media (2) and Arborist Marketing Pros (2). BaaDigi was named once. Five of the top eight are tree-exclusive agencies.
How much do tree service marketing agencies charge?
Published by tree-only agencies: Arborist Marketing Pros $1,299 (Lift, for $500K–$1M companies), $1,999 (Bucket) and $6,500 (Crane) a month, with recommended ad minimums of $800 Meta, $1,800 Google and $1,000 LSA; ORB Tree Service Marketing publishes ballpark figures of a $495 audit, a new site at $1,350 a month for 12 months, SEO $1,350–$3,000 a month, Google Ads $1,000 a month or 15% of spend, Meta $500 or 20%, and $500 per location for Google Business Profile work. Hook publishes local SEO from $2,800 a month; Fannit $1,500 and $3,500 tiers; BaaDigi $297 to $3,997. Tree Service Digital, Tree Care Marketing Solutions (minimum $1M client revenue), ArborMark, Tree Traction, Lawnline and Local Tree Service Marketing do not publish pricing. Third-party guides put tree service retainers at $800–$5,000 a month.
What does a tree service lead cost?
Agency-published benchmarks, not platform rate cards: Google search ads $85–$110 per lead in typical markets and $101–$225 in competitive ones, tracked January 2024 to July 2026; Local Services Ads $25–$100; Angi $25–$85; Thumbtack $15–$40. Marketplace leads are shared, and the platforms score 2.0 out of 5 (Angi Leads, 37,256 reviews) and 2.1 (Thumbtack, 6,610) on Trustpilot. Tree work has high tickets, so a $100 search lead pays on removals and large pruning and fails on small trims; separate the campaigns.

How we tested which agencies AI engines actually recommend
On 2026-09-11 we asked ten questions a tree service owner might type, including "Best marketing agency for tree service companies?", "Which marketing agency gets tree service companies the most leads?" and "Which tree service marketing agencies publish their pricing?", to Perplexity (sonar), ChatGPT with web search (gpt-4o) and Google's Gemini with Search grounding. Thirty answers, all returned. We counted each answer that named an agency and merged Blue Corona into RYNO. BaaDigi: 1 of 30. Valpo Agency and Landscape Leadership were named but not reviewed on their own sites, and the table says so. TreeCareHQ, which some lists include, is a directory rather than an agency and is excluded.
What the engines cited: The Stacc's list (36 citations), Hook's list (26), Valpo's list (16), Top Marketing Agencies (13), ORB's list (12) and Tree Service Digital's own site (12). Every list we read ranks its author first. Third-party lists also disagree with each other on basic facts: two different cities for Tree Service Digital, two different founding years for Tree Care Marketing Solutions. The TCIA magazine profile is the most reliable source for the latter, and we used it.
Why the tree-only agencies win this trade
Tree care has a credential (ISA Certified Arborist, accredited to ISO/IEC 17024 with an enforceable code of ethics), a trade association (TCIA), a seasonality nobody outside the trade understands (planned work in spring and fall, dormant pruning in winter, storm work any time, and Central Florida arborists booked two to six weeks out before hurricane season), and a mix of $200 trims and $5,000 removals that makes blended cost per lead meaningless. Agencies staffed with arborists (Tree Care Marketing Solutions, ORB) or built around tree companies only (Tree Service Digital, ArborMark, Arborist Marketing Pros, Tree Traction) speak that language, and the AI engines reward it: five of the top eight named agencies are tree-exclusive. The generalists that dominate roofing and HVAC, Scorpion and RYNO, do not even have a real tree service page.
What tree company owners complain about after they sign
Marketers faking local.** r/arborists threads describe spam marketers pretending to be local and "recycled clients that go nowhere". **Shared and stale marketplace leads: Angi Leads scores 2.0 out of 5 across 37,256 Trustpilot reviews and Thumbtack 2.1 across 6,610. **Volatility**: one owner reported inquiries falling from 75-plus a month to five after a search change, which is what happens when the only channel is one the company does not own. **Fee opacity**: Google's third-party policy requires agencies to disclose management fees separately from media and to provide account IDs on request, so an agency that will not is breaking Google's rules as well as yours.
What a tree service marketing contract should say
Ownership: domain, website, Google Business Profile (you as primary owner), Google Ads, LSA, GA4 and tracking numbers in your name, with admin access; ArborMark and Hook state the client owns the site. **Fees**: management fee separate from media, per Google's own policy. **Lead definition**: qualified lead in writing, shared-lead policy, and removal versus pruning versus storm tracked separately. **Term**: none of the tree-only agencies publish cancellation terms, so get the term, auto-renewal and asset-transfer clause in writing; ORB's site plan is 12 months, Scorpion's technology and SEO term is 12 months, BaaDigi and Fannit publish no term. **Credentials**: your ISA number and a verification link on every page the agency builds.
How to choose by size
Under $500K: LSA at $25–$100 a lead, a complete Google Business Profile with your ISA credential, and a fixed-price site: BaaDigi's Foundation or Stability engines ($297, $497), no term. Tree Care Marketing Solutions will not take you yet, by its own rule.
$500K–$1M: Arborist Marketing Pros' Lift tier ($1,299), ORB's SEO from $1,350, Fannit's $1,500 tier or BaaDigi's Predictability engine ($1,397).
$1M–$3M: the tree-only leaders, Tree Service Digital and Tree Care Marketing Solutions, by quote; ORB and Arborist Marketing Pros' Bucket tier ($1,999) with prices you can see.
$3M-plus or multi-market: Arborist Marketing Pros' Crane tier ($6,500), Hook (above $2M), or Tree Care Marketing Solutions.
**Do not hire anyone yet** if your ISA credential is not on your site and Google Business Profile, you have under ten reviews, or storm calls go to voicemail.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which tree service marketing agencies publish their pricing?
Arborist Marketing Pros ($1,299, $1,999 and $6,500 a month tiers with recommended ad minimums), ORB Tree Service Marketing (ballpark: $495 audit, site $1,350 a month for 12 months, SEO $1,350–$3,000, Google Ads $1,000 or 15% of spend, Meta $500 or 20%, GBP $500 per location), Hook Agency (local SEO from $2,800), Fannit ($1,500 and $3,500 tiers) and BaaDigi ($297 to $3,997). Tree Service Digital, Tree Care Marketing Solutions, ArborMark, Tree Traction, Lawnline, Local Tree Service Marketing, Scorpion and RYNO do not publish tree service pricing.
Is a tree-only marketing agency better than a general agency?
In this trade, the evidence says yes for companies above roughly $500K. The two most-named agencies in our AI test are tree-exclusive, two of them employ credentialed arborists, and the home-services generalists that dominate roofing and HVAC do not have real tree service pages. The trade-offs are entry floors (Tree Care Marketing Solutions requires $1M in revenue; ORB's site plan is $16,200 over a year) and unpublished terms. Under $500K, a published flat price with no term from a contractor generalist is the better buy while you build reviews and get into LSA.
How much should a tree service company spend on marketing?
Judge it by cost per booked job by service line. Agency-published benchmarks put a Google search lead at $85–$110 in typical markets and $101–$225 in competitive ones, an LSA lead at $25–$100, and marketplace leads at $15–$85 but shared. Retainers run $800–$5,000 a month by third-party guides; published tree-only tiers start at $1,299. A removal ticket absorbs a $150 lead easily; a trim does not, so an agency that blends them is hiding the number that matters.
Does an ISA certification help a tree company get more work?
It is the trust signal homeowners, insurers and AI engines can verify: ISA Certified Arborist is accredited to ISO/IEC 17024 and carries an enforceable code of ethics, and the credential number can be checked on ISA's site. Publish the number with a verification link on your website and Google Business Profile, and make sure the agency puts it on every page it builds. Two of the tree-only agencies on this page (Tree Care Marketing Solutions and ORB) employ credentialed arborists, which is part of why they lead the AI answers.
Who do AI engines recommend for tree service marketing?
In our 2026-09-11 test of 30 answers across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, Tree Service Digital was named 20 times, Tree Care Marketing Solutions 16, Hook Agency 12, ORB Tree Service Marketing 11, Valpo Agency 11, Fannit 10, ArborMark 10, Landscape Leadership 9, Tree Traction 5, Scorpion 4, Local Tree Service Marketing 4, Lawnline 4, RYNO 3, Footbridge 2 and Arborist Marketing Pros 2. BaaDigi was named once. Every list the engines cited ranks its own publisher first.
Should a tree service buy leads from Angi or Thumbtack?
Only as a capped test. Agency benchmarks put Angi at $25–$85 and Thumbtack at $15–$40 per lead, but both are shared, and the platforms score 2.0 and 2.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot across more than 40,000 reviews between them. Local Services Ads deliver a $25–$100 lead that came to you specifically, with Google's credit policy for invalid ones, and your ISA credential shows in the listing. Start with LSA and the Google Business Profile; add search ads for removals and storm work.
