Which Restoration Marketing Agency Should You Hire in 2026?
Water, fire and mold restoration is a 2 a.m. phone call, an insurance claim and, for a lot of shops, a TPA program that takes a cut of every job. The agency you hire should know all three. On 2026-09-30 we asked Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini ten questions a restoration company owner would type, thirty answers in all, and counted the agencies named. RYNO Strategic Solutions (which merged with Blue Corona in October 2024) was named in 19, Thrive in 16, Ironclad Restoration Marketing in 11, Vinnie Mac and Restoration Marketing Success in 8 each. BaaDigi: 0. Below are the counts, every price and contract term each agency publishes on its own site, and what changed for restoration marketing between 2024 and 2026.

The Short Answer
Few restoration agencies publish a rate card, so start with the ones that do. Water Restoration Marketing (named in 6 of 30 AI answers) publishes $275 a week for ads only, then $1,499 to $5,499 a month plus a $1,500 setup fee and ad spend. Built Right Digital publishes $1,199 to $19,999 a month on its restoration page, Web Tonic from $3,000, Hook Agency SEO from $2,800 on a yearly commitment, and Blue Corona restoration SEO at $2,000 to $10,000-plus after a $2,500 to $3,500 audit. The restoration-only specialists AI names most, Ironclad, Vinnie Mac, Restoration Marketing Success and Restoration Marketing Group, publish no prices; Ironclad says no contracts and Restoration Marketing Success puts one contractor per metro in writing. Two things changed the ground under all of them: Google replaced the Google Guaranteed badge with Google Verified on October 2025 and dropped the money-back guarantee, and Google's AI Mode reached every US searcher on May 20, 2025.
Quick Answers
Who are the best restoration marketing agencies in 2026?
Measured on 2026-09-30 across 30 AI answers (Perplexity, ChatGPT web search, Google Gemini), the restoration marketing agencies named most often were RYNO Strategic Solutions including Blue Corona (19), Thrive Internet Marketing Agency (16), Ironclad Restoration Marketing (11), Vinnie Mac Restoration Marketing (8), Restoration Marketing Success (8), Hook Agency (7), Web Tonic (7), Water Restoration Marketing (6), WebFX (6) and Restoration Marketing Group (6). BaaDigi was named 0 times. The three most-cited agency sites, Thrive, Web Tonic and Revved Digital, each publish a list that ranks its own publisher first.
How much does a restoration marketing agency cost?
Published on their own sites: Water Restoration Marketing $275 a week for ads only plus a $1,000 setup fee, then $1,499, $1,750, $2,600 and $5,499 a month plus a $1,500 setup fee and ad spend; Built Right Digital $1,199, $2,099, $4,199 and $19,999 a month; Web Tonic from $3,000 a month; Hook Agency SEO from $2,800 and Google Ads from $2,000; WebFX home-services SEO from $3,000 and PPC from $650; Blue Corona restoration SEO $2,000 to $10,000-plus a month after a $2,500 to $3,500 audit; BaaDigi $297 to $3,997. Thrive, Ironclad, Vinnie Mac, Restoration Marketing Success, Restoration Marketing Group and Scorpion publish no rate card.
What does a water damage lead cost?
Local Services Ads are the cheapest measured channel. 99 Calls, an agency, reports an October 2026 average of $128.02 per charged water damage lead (median $101.68, typical range $83.26 to $286.52) across nine of its own client campaigns; Google says lead prices vary by location, job type and bidding and publishes no rate card. Pay-per-call vendors bill on their own rules: 33 Mile Radius states a call is billable even when it rings four times unanswered or goes to voicemail. Set any of it against the job: the Insurance Information Institute puts the average water damage and freezing homeowners claim at $15,400 for 2019 to 2023.
Should a restoration company hire a restoration-only agency or a big home-services agency?
Hire a restoration-only agency (Ironclad, Vinnie Mac, Restoration Marketing Success, Water Restoration Marketing, Restoration Marketing Group) when you want a team that already knows mitigation versus rebuild, retail versus TPA work and storm surges; Restoration Marketing Success also promises one contractor per metro in writing. Hire a large home-services agency (RYNO/Blue Corona, Thrive, WebFX, Scorpion) for multi-location or franchise territories that need heavy call tracking. Either way, ask whether they report cost per signed work authorization rather than clicks, and whether the ad accounts stay in your name.

What changed for restoration marketing in 2024–2026?
**October 1, 2024: Blue Corona and RYNO Strategic Solutions merged.** The AI answers in our test still name them both, sometimes as two agencies. We count them as one row.
**May 20, 2025: Google's AI Mode rolled out to everyone in the US.** A homeowner standing in an inch of water can now ask Google for a restoration company and get a written answer, not ten blue links. The same thing is happening in ChatGPT and Perplexity, which is why this page counts AI answers at all.
**October 2025: Google Guaranteed became Google Verified.** Google's Local Services Help says it launched a single Google Verified badge for all advertisers and discontinued the money-back guarantee that came with the Google Guarantee badge. Existing verified advertisers got the new badge automatically. Three of the ten Google answers in our test still described Local Services Ads as "Google Guaranteed", and Water Restoration Marketing's pricing page still sells the Google Guarantee badge. If an agency is still pitching the guarantee, ask when they last read Google's help pages.
**January 22, 2026: Thrive published its own restoration ranking.** It puts Thrive first at 97 of 100. It was the most-cited agency site in our test, which is part of why Thrive is named so often.
**2025: the Restoration Industry Association's TPA Scorecard.** 379 restoration contractors and industry professionals responded; the 13 third-party administrators rated averaged 2.7 of 5 stars. That dissatisfaction is the backdrop to every agency pitch about "getting off the programs".
How we tested which agencies AI engines actually recommend
On 2026-09-30 we asked ten questions a restoration owner might type, including "Best marketing agency for water damage restoration companies?", "I run a restoration company. Which agency should I hire?" and "Which marketing agencies publish their pricing for water damage restoration companies?", to Perplexity (sonar), ChatGPT with web search (gpt-4o) and Google's Gemini with Search grounding. Thirty answers, all returned. We counted every answer that named an agency and merged Blue Corona into RYNO. BaaDigi: 0 of 30.
**Counted from the raw answers**, with the same matching rule, because they were not on our starting list: Restoration Marketing Group 6, Restoration Growth Partners 4, Revved Digital 3. Anytime Digital and Comrade were named twice each and Rival Digital once. Restoration Digital Marketing was also named often, but its name is also a common phrase in the answers, so we cannot count it cleanly and do not give it a number. Pay-per-call vendors such as 33 Mile Radius and Service Direct were named too; they sell calls rather than run your marketing, so they are not in the table.
**The engines disagreed.** Ironclad was named in 8 of 10 Google answers and none from Perplexity; Thrive was named in 7 of 10 Perplexity answers. ChatGPT, asked which agency to hire, named no agency at all in one answer.
Who wrote the lists the AI engines read
The most-cited agency sites were thriveagency.com (38 citations), webtonic.io (23) and revved.digital (18). Each is an agency with a restoration list, and each list we could open ranks its own publisher first. Thrive's January 2026 list puts Thrive at 97 of 100 and carries an editorial disclosure that no agency paid for placement. Web Tonic's list of 21 agencies puts Web Tonic first at $3,000 a month and says none of the 20 external firms publishes a rate card; Water Restoration Marketing, Built Right Digital and Blue Corona all publish prices on their own sites.
None of that makes the lists useless. It is why this page publishes counts and each agency's own prices instead of another ranking, and why you should check any price an AI gives you against the agency's own page.
Retail, TPA and insurance work: why the agency has to know the difference
Most restoration revenue is insurance-paid, but it arrives two ways. Program work comes from a third-party administrator that assigns jobs and takes a fee; retail work comes from a homeowner who found you and then files the claim. Two Google answers described Ironclad's pitch as moving contractors from TPA work to direct homeowner calls, and the RIA's 2025 scorecard, where the average TPA rated 2.7 of 5, explains why that pitch lands.
What it means for marketing: an agency should track retail and program jobs separately, because a program job has a fee taken out and a retail job does not. It should also split emergency mitigation from rebuild and mold, which are different searches, different urgency and different ticket sizes. The Insurance Information Institute puts the average water damage and freezing homeowners claim at $15,400 for 2019 to 2023; that is the whole claim, not your invoice, but it shows why one signed job can carry months of marketing.
What restoration owners complain about after they sign
**Paying for calls that are not jobs.** 33 Mile Radius, a pay-per-call vendor, states in its own terms that calls are billable when they ring four or more times unanswered, go to voicemail or reach an IVR. Service Direct reviews disputed calls only within seven days and says missed calls are not eligible because there is no recording. None of that is hidden, but it means a missed 2 a.m. call costs you twice.
**Shared territory.** One Google answer told owners to ask whether the agency will work for a competitor in the same ZIP codes. Restoration Marketing Success is the one agency in our table that puts one contractor per metro in writing.
**Asset hostage.** The same answer warned never to let an agency build the ad account or Business Profile in its own name. RYNO and Restoration Marketing Success both publish that you own the website and accounts; Built Right Digital's website installment keeps ownership with the agency until paid in full; Scorpion says you own the website after the contract ends but not the underlying system.
**Twelve-month terms.** Scorpion's FAQ says marketing technology and SEO typically run on 12-month contracts, and Hook Agency asks for a yearly commitment. Ironclad and Thrive say no contracts.
What a restoration marketing contract should say
Ownership: domain, website, Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Local Services Ads accounts, GA4 and tracking numbers in your company's name, with the agency as a removable manager and an export deadline at exit. **Exclusivity**: whether the agency runs ads or local SEO for another restoration company in your service area, in writing. **A billable-lead definition**: what happens to unanswered calls, voicemails, out-of-area calls, tenants and do-it-yourself searches, and the dispute window. **Reporting** through to signed work authorizations by service line (mitigation, rebuild, mold, fire), with retail and program jobs split. **Storm protocol**: how fast budgets and geo-targeting change when a freeze or hurricane hits. **Fees**: management fee, setup fee and ad spend as separate lines; several published price lists here add a $1,000 to $1,500 setup fee. **Term**: month-to-month, or a stated minimum that converts to month-to-month with 30 days notice.
How to choose by size
One or two trucks, under about $1M: get verified for Local Services Ads, complete the Google Business Profile with your IICRC certifications and real job photos, and answer every call; those cost nothing and beat any retainer. Then a low published program: Water Restoration Marketing's $275-a-week ads-only plan, Built Right Digital's $1,199 tier, or BaaDigi from $297. Hook says companies under $1M are not a fit.
$1M to $5M, one market: $1,500 to $3,000 a month before ad spend. Water Restoration Marketing at $1,499 to $2,600, Built Right Digital at $2,099 or $4,199, Web Tonic from $3,000, a restoration-only quote from Ironclad, Vinnie Mac, Restoration Marketing Success or Restoration Marketing Group, or BaaDigi at $1,397. Ask the quote-only agencies for the number and the exit terms before the strategy call.
Multi-location or franchise territories: RYNO/Blue Corona (SEO from $2,000 to $10,000-plus a month), Thrive, WebFX (home-services SEO from $3,000), Water Restoration Marketing's $5,499 multi-location tier, Scorpion on a 12-month term, or BaaDigi at $3,997.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which restoration marketing agencies publish their pricing?
On their own sites: Water Restoration Marketing ($275 a week ads only, then $1,499, $1,750, $2,600 and $5,499 a month, each with a setup fee), Built Right Digital ($1,199, $2,099, $4,199 and $19,999 a month), Web Tonic (from $3,000 a month), Hook Agency (SEO from $2,800, Google Ads from $2,000), WebFX (home-services SEO from $3,000, PPC from $650), Blue Corona (restoration SEO $2,000 to $10,000-plus after a $2,500 to $3,500 audit) and BaaDigi ($297 to $3,997). Thrive, Ironclad, Vinnie Mac, Restoration Marketing Success, Restoration Marketing Group and Scorpion publish none.
How much should a water damage restoration company spend on marketing?
Published management fees here run from $275 a week to about $5,500 a month for a single brand, with ad spend on top, and Blue Corona publishes restoration SEO alone at $2,000 to $10,000-plus a month. Size it against signed jobs, not leads: 99 Calls reports its own water damage Local Services Ads clients averaged $128.02 per charged lead as of October 2026, and the Insurance Information Institute puts the average water damage and freezing claim at $15,400. If one extra signed mitigation job a month does not cover the fee, the fee is too high for your size.
Is a pay-per-call service better than a restoration marketing agency?
It is faster and it is rented. Pay-per-call vendors such as 33 Mile Radius and Service Direct send you calls with no retainer, but you build nothing you keep, and the billing rules matter: 33 Mile Radius bills calls that go unanswered after four rings or to voicemail, and Service Direct only reviews disputed calls within seven days and not missed calls. An agency costs more up front, but the reviews, rankings and ad accounts stay with you if the accounts are in your name. Many owners use pay-per-call to fill trucks while an agency builds the owned channel.
Is Google Guaranteed still worth it for restoration companies?
Google Guaranteed no longer exists. On October 2025 Google replaced it with a single Google Verified badge for all Local Services Ads advertisers and discontinued the money-back guarantee. Existing verified advertisers got the new badge automatically. Local Services Ads themselves still run, charge per lead, and remain the cheapest measured water damage channel. Three of the ten Google answers in our test still called it Google Guaranteed, so check any agency pitch against Google's own help page.
Which agencies do AI engines recommend for restoration companies?
In our 2026-09-30 test of 30 answers across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google's Gemini: RYNO/Blue Corona 19, Thrive 16, Ironclad Restoration Marketing 11, Vinnie Mac 8, Restoration Marketing Success 8, Hook Agency 7, Web Tonic 7, Water Restoration Marketing 6, WebFX 6, Restoration Marketing Group 6 and Restoration Growth Partners 4. BaaDigi was named 0 times. The engines leaned on agency-written lists that rank their own publisher first, and Google named restoration-only specialists far more often than Perplexity did.
What agency helps restoration companies show up in ChatGPT and AI search?
Answers to this split badly in our test. ChatGPT named no agency. Perplexity named small AI-search firms. Google's answer named several restoration and AI-search specialists. Among the agencies in our table, Hook Agency publishes an AEO service at $4,000 a month ($2,000 added to SEO), Ironclad lists AEO/GEO on its homepage, and Water Restoration Marketing lists AI search optimization in its plans. Ask any of them to show you what ChatGPT and Perplexity say today when asked for a water damage company in your city, then again in 90 days.
