Which Roofing Marketing Agency Is Worth Hiring in 2026?

Roofing has more self-declared "#1 roofing marketing agencies" than any other trade, and four of the lists Google ranks for the term are written by agencies that rank themselves first. So we measured the AI engines instead. On 2026-09-11 we asked Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini ten questions a roofer would type, thirty answers, and counted the agencies named. Hook Agency was named in 23 of 30, RYNO Strategic Solutions (Blue Corona until 2024) in 16, Scorpion in 13, Thrive in 10. Two roofing-only agencies with "#1" on their homepages, Roofer Marketing Solutions and Profit Roofing Systems, were named 0 and 3 times. BaaDigi: 0. Below are the counts, what each agency publishes about pricing and terms, and the storm-versus-steady question that decides whether an agency fits a roofing company at all.

The Short Answer

For a roofer above roughly $3M, the agencies AI engines name most, Hook Agency, RYNO/Blue Corona and Scorpion, all fit, with caveats each publishes itself: Hook says it is "more expensive than many companies" and prices websites up to $50,000 but has no long-term contract; RYNO says clients "typically invest $5,000 or more" a month; Scorpion's own FAQ says marketing technology and SEO run on a 12-month contract. None of the three publishes a rate card. Under $3M, published flat pricing and month-to-month terms matter more: BaaDigi runs $297 to $3,997 a month with no term, and third-party guides put a single-channel roofing retainer at $1,000–$3,000 a month. Whatever the size, the roofing-specific test is storm response: ask how the agency turns paid spend on within 24–48 hours of a hail event, and how it keeps SEO and reviews running when the phone is quiet.

Quick Answers

Who are the best roofing marketing agencies in 2026?

Measured on 2026-09-11 across 30 AI answers (Perplexity, ChatGPT web search, Google Gemini), the roofing marketing agencies named most often were Hook Agency (23), RYNO Strategic Solutions including Blue Corona (16), Scorpion (13), Thrive Internet Marketing (10), Jives Media (8), WebFX (8), Roofing Marketing Pros (6), Webrunner Media (6), Best Roofer Marketing (5), Contractor Marketing Pros (5) and Roofer Marketers (5). Profit Roofing Systems was named 3 times and Roofer Marketing Solutions 0. BaaDigi was named 0 times.

How much do roofing marketing agencies charge?

Almost none of the agencies AI engines name publish a price. RYNO says clients typically invest $5,000 or more a month. WebFX says SEO campaigns often start around $2,500 a month. Hook prices websites up to $50,000 and scales its PPC fee with spend. BaaDigi publishes $297, $497, $1,397 and $3,997 per month engines. Third-party 2026 guides put a single channel at $1,000–$3,000 a month, full-service at $3,000–$10,000, PPC management at $500–$2,000 or 10–20% of spend, and media at $1,500–$10,000 a month on top. Published entry packages from smaller roofing shops run $699–$799 and $1,399–$3,000 a month.

What is the best marketing for a roofing company?

It depends on whether you are a storm roofer or a retail roofer. Storm and insurance-claim roofers win on speed: paid search and Local Services Ads turned on within 24–48 hours of a hail event in the damaged ZIP codes, a five-minute response target, and canvassing, because homeowners contact two or three roofers and the first one out wins. Retail roofers selling planned replacements win on compounding assets: Google Business Profile and reviews, a site that ranks for replacement and repair terms, referrals and financing. Roofers on r/Roofing consistently favor referrals, SEO and door-to-door over bought marketplace leads, which are shared with several companies.

How we tested which agencies AI engines actually recommend

On 2026-09-11 we asked ten questions a roofer might type, including "Best marketing agency for roofing companies?", "Which marketing agency gets roofing companies the most leads?" and "Which roofing marketing agencies publish their pricing?", to Perplexity (sonar), ChatGPT with web search (gpt-4o) and Google's Gemini with Search grounding. Thirty answers, all returned. We counted each answer that named an agency and merged Blue Corona into RYNO because they merged in 2024. BaaDigi: 0 of 30.

What the engines cited: Sequoia GEO, Thrive, Jives Media, WebFX and Built Right Digital list pages, plus Owl Roofing's and Silverback's roundups. Every list we read ranks its own publisher first, including Silverback (#1 of 10), Thrive (#1, 97/100), WebFX (#1, 4.9) and Hook (#7 of 7, with a caveat that it does not fully endorse the others). Best Roofer Marketing is the only agency that appears on three of those lists without writing any of them.

Storm roofer or retail roofer: the question that decides the agency

**Storm and insurance-claim work** is a speed business. Homeowners after a hail event contact two or three roofers, the first 24–48 hours are the highest-value window, and a five-minute response target is the standard the better agencies set. The marketing that fits is paid search and Local Services Ads switched on in the damaged ZIP codes within a day, prepared six to eight weeks before the season, plus canvassing. Two legal cautions: Florida Statute 489.147 bans advertising that induces homeowners to file insurance claims, with fines up to $10,000 per violation, and the FTC publishes post-storm scam warnings that shape how homeowners read your ads.

**Retail replacement and repair** is a compounding business. Planned replacements come from Google Business Profile and reviews, a site that ranks for replacement, repair and material terms, referrals and financing. Roofers on r/Roofing repeatedly favor referrals, SEO and door-to-door over bought leads.

An agency that runs only one of these playbooks will underperform in the other half of your year. Ask for both plans in writing.

What roofers complain about after they sign

Shared, fake or unreachable leads** resold from marketplaces; r/Roofing threads on this are constant. **Vanity metrics: rankings and impressions with no booked-job context. **Ghosting after onboarding** and a "generic $2,500 website on a reused domain", from a public review of one roofing agency. **Missing the storm-versus-retail distinction** entirely. **Hostage assets**: domain, Google Business Profile, ad accounts and tracking numbers held in the agency's name. **Ad spend hidden inside the retainer** so you cannot see the management fee. Every one of these is a contract clause; the next section covers them.

What a roofing marketing contract should say

Ownership: domain, website, Google Business Profile (you as primary owner), Google Ads and LSA accounts, GA4 and tracking numbers in your company's name, with an export deadline at exit. Hook and RYNO both state you own the website; Scorpion returns static files after the term. **Fees**: management fee itemized from media spend. **Term**: month-to-month with 15–30 days notice, or a 3–6 month initial term then renewal, is the buyer-friendly version. A 12-month unconditional lock-in is the red flag the contract-review guides all name. **Storm clause**: who turns paid spend on after a hail event, how fast, and with what budget cap. **Reporting**: spend to lead to inspection to signed contract, with a written definition of a lead. **Guarantees**: Google says no one can guarantee a ranking, so a guarantee is a warning, not a feature.

How to choose by size

Under $1M: no retainer yet. Complete the Google Business Profile, put a review request into every completed job, get into Local Services Ads, and make sure the phone is answered during a storm. Every agency on this page will charge you to do those.

$1M–$3M: published flat pricing and no term. BaaDigi's Stability and Predictability engines ($497 and $1,397) sit here; third-party guides put a single-channel roofing retainer at $1,000–$3,000 a month.

$3M–$10M: the agencies AI engines name most all fit. Hook if you want premium creative and no term and can pay for it; RYNO/Blue Corona for paid-media scale at $5,000-plus a month; Scorpion if you want one platform and accept a 12-month term; Thrive if you want no term from a large general agency.

Storm-first regional outfits: RYNO's CSR coaching and call intelligence, or a roofing-only shop like Best Roofer Marketing or Profit Roofing Systems with canvassing built in; verify results with two references, since neither publishes client-level numbers.

The BaaDigi Alternative: Own Your Pipeline

Instead of renting leads from platforms, we build a marketing system you own — one that generates exclusive leads and gets cheaper over time.

Published pricing: Foundation $297, Stability $497, Predictability $1,397, Market Control $3,997 per month, month-to-month
Google Business Profile, Ads, LSA, GA4 and domain stay in your name; standard Next.js site you can take anywhere
Storm plan in writing: paid spend turns on in damaged ZIPs within 24–48 hours, SEO and reviews keep running in the quiet months
AI search visibility tracked for every client. We found a 23-year-old Twin Cities roofer we manage, rated 4.9, fetched by Perplexity but not named in any "best roofer" answer because its site printed no license number, warranty length or price range. That is the kind of gap we fix.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do roofers get leads for roofing sales?

Retail roofers get most sales leads from Google Business Profile calls, a site that ranks for replacement and repair terms, referrals and financing offers; storm roofers get them from paid search and Local Services Ads turned on in damaged ZIP codes within 24–48 hours of a hail event, plus canvassing. Roofers on r/Roofing consistently rank referrals, SEO and door-to-door above bought leads, because marketplace leads are shared with two to five companies and many never answer. A marketing agency should add capacity to those channels and report each lead through to an inspection and a signed contract.

How much should a roofing company spend on marketing?

Third-party 2026 guides put a single-channel roofing retainer at $1,000–$3,000 a month, full-service at $3,000–$10,000, PPC management at $500–$2,000 or 10–20% of spend, and media at $1,500–$10,000 a month on top. The agencies AI engines name most do not publish a rate card; RYNO says $5,000 or more a month, WebFX says SEO often starts around $2,500. BaaDigi publishes $297–$3,997. Storm roofers should hold a paid-search reserve that can be released within a day of a hail event rather than spreading spend evenly across twelve months.

Which roofing marketing agencies publish their pricing?

Among the agencies AI engines name, only WebFX publishes ranges (SEO from about $2,500 a month; retainers $1,000–$20,000). Hook publishes that websites run up to $50,000 and that its PPC fee scales with spend. RYNO states a $5,000-plus typical investment. BaaDigi publishes four engines at $297, $497, $1,397 and $3,997 per month. Scorpion, Thrive, Jives Media, Roofing Marketing Pros, Webrunner, Best Roofer Marketing, Silverback, Profit Roofing Systems and Roofer Marketing Solutions do not publish pricing; smaller roofing shops publish entry packages from $699 to $3,000 a month.

Should a roofer sign a 12-month marketing contract?

Only with an exit clause and every account in your name. Contract-review guides for contractors call a 12-month unconditional lock-in a red flag, and the buyer-friendly version is month-to-month with 15–30 days notice or a 3–6 month initial term then renewal. Scorpion publishes a 12-month term for its technology and SEO; Hook, Thrive and BaaDigi publish no long-term contract. Whatever the term, confirm you own the domain, website, Google Business Profile, ad accounts and tracking numbers, and that there is an export deadline.

Is a roofing-only agency better than a general agency?

Not on the evidence in our test. The three agencies AI engines named most, Hook, RYNO and Scorpion, are home-services or general agencies; the two roofing-only agencies with "#1" on their homepages were named 3 and 0 times. Roofing-only shops can be worth it for storm canvassing programs and sales training, but the deciding factors are the same either way: a written storm plan and a written retail plan, ownership of your assets, itemized fees, and references from roofers your size.

Who do AI engines recommend for roofing marketing?

In our 2026-09-11 test of 30 answers across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, Hook Agency was named 23 times, RYNO/Blue Corona 16, Scorpion 13, Thrive 10, Jives Media 8, WebFX 8, Roofing Marketing Pros 6, Webrunner Media 6, Best Roofer Marketing 5, Contractor Marketing Pros 5, Roofer Marketers 5, Silverback 4, Profit Roofing Systems 3 and Roofer Marketing Solutions 0. BaaDigi was named 0 times. Most of what the engines cited were lists written by agencies that rank themselves first.
