Comparison Guide
Which HVAC Website Design Company Should You Hire in 2026?
An HVAC website has to do two jobs: catch the homeowner whose system just quit, and sell a replacement system to the one who is comparing three quotes. Most agencies sell the site inside a bigger retainer, so the real questions are what the site costs, who owns it if you leave, and what happens to your content. On 2026-10-29 we asked Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini ten questions an HVAC company owner would type, thirty prompts, and counted the agencies named. Hook Agency and RYNO Strategic Solutions (which merged with Blue Corona on October 1, 2024) each had 18, CI Web Group 13, Scorpion 12, HVAC Webmasters and WebFX 11 each, Rival Digital 9 and KickCharge 8. BaaDigi: 0. Below are the counts, every website price and ownership term each agency publishes, and how to match a builder to your shop.

The Short Answer
Only a few HVAC website builders publish a site price, and the ownership terms differ more than the prices. Hook Agency lists a standard site at $12,000 and a custom site at $24,000, each split over 12 months and sold only with a recurring service, and says you own it 100%. Built Right Digital sells a stand-alone site for $5,750, $9,590 or $14,390 one time, but its disclaimer says the agency keeps ownership until the 12-month installment plan is paid in full. HVAC Webmasters publishes $659 to $3,659 a month with a $995 start-up fee and no long-term contracts, though its library content cannot leave with you. KickCharge includes a site in its $7,500 and higher packages. RYNO says you own your site 100% but publishes no price. Scorpion, WebFX, Relentless Digital and CI Web Group publish no website price we could find. BaaDigi publishes $97 a month plus $300 setup for AI Website Management, $147 plus $500 for the Predictable Work Website, and $297 plus $700 for the Foundation Engine with the site included.
Quick Answers
Best website design company for HVAC companies?
Measured on 2026-10-29 across 30 AI prompts (Perplexity, ChatGPT web search, Google Gemini), the agencies named most often for HVAC websites were Hook Agency (18), RYNO Strategic Solutions including Blue Corona (18), CI Web Group (13), Scorpion (12), HVAC Webmasters (11), WebFX (11), Rival Digital (9), KickCharge (8), Relentless Digital (7), Built Right Digital (5) and WebTonic (5). ServiceTitan (13) and Housecall Pro (13) are field-service software, not design companies. BaaDigi was named 0 times. Most-named is not best: pick on the published price, who owns the site, and the contract.
How much does an HVAC website cost from a design company?
From the agencies' own sites: Hook Agency $12,000 for a standard site or $24,000 for a custom one, split over 12 months with a recurring service; Built Right Digital $5,750, $9,590 or $14,390 one time, or $599, $999 or $1,499 a month; HVAC Webmasters $659 to $3,659 a month plus a $995 start-up fee; KickCharge packages from $7,500 a month that include a site; BaaDigi $97 a month plus $300 setup, $147 plus $500, or $297 plus $700 with the site included. RYNO says every site is scoped by phone; Scorpion, WebFX, Relentless Digital and CI Web Group publish no website price we could find.
Who owns the website when you hire an HVAC marketing agency?
It depends on the agency, so read the clause. Hook Agency says you own your website 100%. RYNO says "You own the content, images, code - everything." HVAC Webmasters says what you bring and your custom content are yours, but its library content cannot be taken with you. Built Right Digital says you keep ownership under its month-to-month marketing plans, but a website bought on its 12-month installment plan stays with the agency until paid in full. CI Web Group says your content and front-end design files are yours, while its Hydra OS platform stays with the agency. Scorpion, WebFX, KickCharge and Relentless Digital publish no ownership terms we could verify. Rival Digital says "You Own Everything" but provides no detailed exit terms. BaaDigi: you own the site, domain and data.

Hook Agency

- States "You own your website 100%" and that you own your ad account; pricing page footer: "Visit Our Office: 600 N Washington Ave Suite C203, Minneapolis, MN 55401"
Cons
- Sites are only sold with a recurring service, so the real entry price is the site plus $3,750 a month for Local SEO + AEO or from $2,000/mo for Google Ads + LSA
- Its homepage FAQ asks for a yearly commitment
- Its HVAC website page says it is usually the best fit above $2M and lists "Under $1M" as not a fit; complex sites can reach "up to 50k"

- No website build price published; add-on components are priced one by one
- Its Hydra OS platform stays with the agency, so a site moved elsewhere needs a rebuild of the back end
- Not trades-only: it also serves professional-services firms
Best for: HVAC owners who want no term contract and are comfortable running the site on the agency's platform
Scorpion
Visit sitePricing: Not published
Pros
- Named in 12 of 30 AI prompts

- Contractor-run since 2000, says it serves over 500 contractors, and covers HVAC, plumbing and electrical sites
Cons
- Library content "cannot be taken with you" and stock images may need separate licenses
- Runs its own CMS rather than WordPress, so a move means a rebuild
- No numeric website case study published, and its FAQ says it does not guarantee rankings or leads
Best for: One-to-ten truck HVAC companies that want a published monthly price and a short exit
WebFX

Best for: Larger HVAC companies that want a national agency's reporting stack and will scope the site by proposal

Pros
- Named in 8 of 30 AI prompts

- Branding agency since 1995, New Jersey based
Cons
- The site cost is folded into the first year's rate, which only drops after year one, so leaving early is the risk
- Contract term and site ownership not published on the pricing page
- Starting site tier is $7,500 a month, well above a stand-alone build
Best for: HVAC companies that want branding, ads and a site in one monthly package and will confirm the exit terms

- Its "best HVAC web design agencies" list ranks Built Right Digital first and discloses that it is included as a provider
Best for: HVAC companies that want published site prices and will pay up front or confirm the ownership clause first
WebTonic
Visit sitePricing: Not published
Pros
- Named in 5 of 30 AI prompts, all in ChatGPT answers, which cited its HVAC list in most of them
Cons
- A general web agency that says industry "doesn't matter" and targets $500K+ revenue businesses, not an HVAC specialist
- Its list, "20 HVAC Website Design Agencies (2026)", includes WebTonic itself among the twenty
- No price, contract or ownership terms published
Best for: Not a typical fit for a single-market HVAC company; useful mainly to understand where ChatGPT's answers come from
How we tested which HVAC website companies AI engines recommend
On 2026-10-29 we asked ten questions an HVAC company owner might type, including "Best website design company for HVAC companies?", "Affordable website design company for a small HVAC company?" and "Which website design companies publish their pricing for HVAC companies?", to Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini with Search grounding. Thirty prompts were sent and 29 answers came back; one Perplexity cell returned a rate-limit error and is not counted. We counted each answer that named an agency and merged Blue Corona into RYNO because they merged on October 1, 2024. BaaDigi: 0 of 30. Two Perplexity answers cited our HVAC marketing and HVAC SEO pages without naming BaaDigi as a recommendation.
What the engines cited: after Google's own redirect links, the most-cited domains were webtonic.io (20 citations), onelittleweb.com (9), webfx.com (9), getlocalpresence.com (9) and builtrightdigital.com (8). Both webtonic.io and builtrightdigital.com are agency-written lists: Built Right Digital's ranks Built Right Digital first and discloses its inclusion, and WebTonic's twenty includes WebTonic. Agency lists tend to put their author high, so treat the counts as what the engines say, not as quality.
Not design companies: ServiceTitan (13) and Housecall Pro (13) are field-service software, and Webflow, Wix and Squarespace are builders. Thrive, Contractor Gorilla and Footbridge (3 each) were named but not researched on their own sites.
What does an HVAC website actually cost?
Published figures only. A one-time build runs from $5,750 at Built Right Digital (template-based) to $14,390 for its elite custom tier, and Hook Agency lists $12,000 for a standard site and $24,000 for a custom one, split over 12 months and sold only with a recurring service; Hook also notes that complex sites can reach "up to 50k". Monthly models bundle the build: HVAC Webmasters publishes $659, $1,359, $2,459 and $3,659 a month with a $995 start-up fee, Built Right Digital offers $599, $999 or $1,499 a month for the site alone, and KickCharge's $7,500 and higher packages include a site (its Juiced tier is $6,500 a month without one). BaaDigi publishes $97 a month plus $300 setup for AI Website Management, $147 plus $500 for the Predictable Work Website, and $297 plus $700 for the Foundation Engine, which includes the site.
We did not find a published website price at RYNO, Scorpion, WebFX, Relentless Digital or CI Web Group, and Rival Digital's pricing page was marked as a test. Ask for the number before the call, not after.
What a good HVAC website company must put in writing
Ownership of the site, domain and code.** Hook says you own it 100%, RYNO says you own the content, images and code, and HVAC Webmasters says your custom content is yours but its library content is not. If an agency is silent, ask. **Ownership of the Google Business Profile: Google's policy says end customers must retain ownership or co-ownership of the profile, so a builder should never hold it. **Whether the site can run anywhere else**: HVAC Webmasters uses its own CMS and CI Web Group keeps its Hydra OS platform, so ask what you would walk away with. **A real phone number you control**, with call tracking in your name. **Dispatch and CRM hooks**: HVAC Webmasters says it can integrate with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Service Fusion, FieldEdge and Jobber; confirm the booking widget works before signing. **Speed**: RYNO says a new site launches in 14 weeks or less. **Rankings**: Google says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, so a site contract that promises one is a warning. **Term**: month-to-month or a short minimum with 30 days notice.
Where site contracts can go wrong
We did not cite owner complaint threads on this page because we could not verify them against a live URL today. The risks below come from the agencies' own published terms. **Ownership with a delay**: Built Right Digital's website disclaimer says ownership and intellectual property of a site bought on its 12-month installment plan stay with the agency until all payments are received, and a $199 a month hosting subscription then starts automatically. **Content you cannot take**: HVAC Webmasters says its library content cannot be taken with you. **A site that gets cheaper later**: KickCharge says the rate drops once the site is paid off after year one, which means the first year's price includes the build, so ask what happens if you leave in month eight. **A platform you leave behind**: CI Web Group says the Hydra OS back end stays with the agency. **Unpublished prices**: seven of the twelve agencies in the table publish no site price, so the first call is where the number appears.
How to choose by shop size
One or two trucks: you rarely need a $12,000 build. Compare HVAC Webmasters' $659/mo Essentials package plus $995 setup, Built Right Digital's $599 a month template site, and BaaDigi's AI Website Management ($97/mo plus $300 setup) or Predictable Work Website ($147/mo plus $500 setup) if you are comfortable editing with your own Claude or ChatGPT. Foundation at $297 a month plus $700 setup adds done-for-you local SEO basics and the Google Business Profile.
Three to ten trucks: Built Right Digital's $9,590 custom site, HVAC Webmasters' $1,359 to $2,459/mo packages plus $995 setup, or a bundled package. This is where owning the site and the term matter most.
Regional or multi-location: Hook ($12,000 to $24,000 sites plus a retainer), KickCharge ($7,500 to $16,500 a month), RYNO and Scorpion have the scale, and each needs ownership and term confirmed in writing.
**Do not buy a new site yet** if your Google Business Profile is incomplete or calls go to voicemail. Both are free to fix and move more calls than a redesign.

Frequently Asked Questions
Did Blue Corona merge with RYNO?
Yes. Blue Corona merged with RYNO Strategic Solutions effective October 1, 2024, unifying under the RYNO Strategic Solutions brand. In our 2026-10-29 test the two names were counted together: 18 of 30 prompts named RYNO or Blue Corona (5 in Perplexity, 5 in ChatGPT, 8 in Google). If an older article lists Blue Corona as a separate agency, it predates the merger.
Which HVAC website companies publish their prices?
Hook Agency ($12,000 standard and $24,000 custom, split over 12 months with a recurring service), Built Right Digital ($5,750, $9,590 or $14,390 one time, or $599, $999 and $1,499 a month), HVAC Webmasters ($659, $1,359, $2,459 and $3,659 a month plus a $995 start-up fee), KickCharge (packages from $7,500 a month that include a site) and BaaDigi ($97 plus $300 setup, $147 plus $500, and $297 plus $700 with the site included). RYNO, Scorpion, WebFX, Relentless Digital and CI Web Group publish no website price we could find.
Do I own my HVAC website if I leave the agency?
Check the contract, because it varies. Hook and RYNO say you own it. HVAC Webmasters says your custom content is yours but library content cannot be taken. CI Web Group says your content and front-end design files are yours while its Hydra OS platform stays with the agency. Built Right Digital says you keep ownership on its month-to-month marketing plans, but a site on its 12-month installment plan stays with the agency until paid in full. Scorpion, WebFX, KickCharge and Relentless Digital publish no ownership terms we could verify. Rival Digital says "You Own Everything" but provides no detailed exit terms. BaaDigi: you own the site, domain and data, month-to-month.
How long does it take to build an HVAC website?
RYNO says a new website generally launches in 14 weeks or less. CI Web Group lists one add-on component at 18 to 28 business days. Other agencies in this set publish no timeline.
Who do AI engines recommend for HVAC website design?
In our 2026-10-29 test of 30 prompts across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, Hook Agency and RYNO including Blue Corona were each named 18 times, CI Web Group 13, Scorpion 12, HVAC Webmasters and WebFX 11 each, Rival Digital 9, KickCharge 8, Relentless Digital 7, and Built Right Digital and WebTonic 5 each. ServiceTitan and Housecall Pro (13 each) are software. BaaDigi was named 0 times. Two of the most-cited sources were agency-written lists.
Is a cheap HVAC website worth it?
It can be, if it is fast, mobile-friendly, shows your phone number on every screen, and you own the domain and the Google Business Profile. A managed site at $97/mo plus $300 setup or $147/mo plus $500 setup suits a one-or-two-truck shop that will edit with its own AI tool. A multi-truck shop that wants custom design, a content plan and ads has a different job, and the $5,750 to $24,000 builds above are priced for it. Either way, ask for ownership and the term in writing.
