Comparison Guide

Which Plumbing Website Design Company Should You Hire in 2026?

A plumbing website is a phone-call machine: the homeowner with a burst pipe taps one number and moves on. Most agencies sell the site inside a bigger retainer, so the real questions are what the site costs, who owns it if you leave, and whether you can change it. On 2026-10-29 we asked Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini ten questions a plumbing company owner would type, thirty prompts, and counted the agencies named. Hook Agency led with 19, RYNO Strategic Solutions (which merged with Blue Corona on October 1, 2024) had 15, Scorpion 12, KickCharge 11, Plumbing & HVAC SEO 10 and Plumbing Webmasters 9. BaaDigi: 0. Below are the counts, every website price and ownership term each agency publishes, and how to match a builder to your shop.

The Short Answer

Only a handful of plumbing website builders publish a site price, and the ownership terms vary more than the prices. Hook Agency lists a standard site at $12,000 and a custom site at $24,000, each split over 12 months and only sold with a recurring service, and says you own it 100%. SmartSites says websites start at $5,000, one flat fee, and you own the design, code, content and domain. Plumbing & HVAC SEO builds the site inside a $5,000 setup plus $2,495 a month on a 12-month term, and releases ownership free after twelve months (a buyout applies if you leave earlier). KickCharge includes a site in its $7,500 and higher packages and drops the rate after year one. RYNO says you own your site completely but publishes no price. Scorpion, Thrive, WebFX and Rival Digital publish no website price. BaaDigi publishes $97 a month plus $300 setup for AI Website Management, $147 plus $500 for the Predictable Work Website, and $297 plus $700 for the Foundation Engine with the site included.

Quick Answers

Best website design company for plumbing companies?

Measured on 2026-10-29 across 29 answers (Perplexity, ChatGPT web search, Google Gemini), the agencies named most often for plumbing websites were Hook Agency (19), RYNO Strategic Solutions including Blue Corona (15), Scorpion (12), KickCharge (11), Plumbing & HVAC SEO (10), Plumbing Webmasters (9), Thrive (7), WebFX (7), Rival Digital (6) and SmartSites (5). ServiceTitan (11) and Housecall Pro (5) are software, not design companies. BaaDigi was named 0 times. Most-named is not best: pick on the published price, who owns the site, and the contract.

How much does a plumbing website cost from a design company?

From the agencies' own sites: Hook Agency $12,000 for a standard site or $24,000 for a custom one, split over 12 months with a recurring service; SmartSites from $5,000 as one flat fee; Plumbing & HVAC SEO a $5,000 setup that includes the site build, then $2,495 a month; KickCharge packages from $7,500 a month that include a site; Footbridge Media $249 a month with no build fee; BaaDigi $97 a month plus $300 setup, $147 plus $500, or $297 plus $700 with the site included. RYNO says $5,000 or more for the agency partnership; billing period unspecified in the quoted source; Scorpion, Thrive, WebFX and Rival publish no website price.

Who owns the website when you hire a plumbing marketing agency?

It depends on the agency, so read the clause. Hook Agency says you own your website 100%. RYNO says "You own everything including the content, code, and images." SmartSites says you own the design, code, content and domain. Plumbing & HVAC SEO transfers ownership free after twelve months, with a buyout if you leave earlier. Footbridge Media says the website goes with you if you cancel. Scorpion, Thrive, WebFX, Rival Digital and Plumbing Webmasters publish no ownership terms that we could verify. BaaDigi: you own the site, domain and data.

  • Its homepage FAQ asks for a yearly commitment while its plumbing page says "We don't have long-term contracts"; get the term in writing
  • Plumbing page lists "Under $1M" as not a fit, and the custom site timeline is "right around 100 days"

Best for: Plumbing companies above about $1M that want a site, SEO and ads from one team and will sign a year

RYNO Strategic Solutions (incl. Blue Corona)

  • Plainly says you own everything, including content, code and images, and can take it all with you

Cons

  • No website price; only "$5,000 or more for the agency partnership; billing period unspecified in the quoted source"
  • Contract term not published
  • The 72% figure is lead growth for the whole engagement, not a website-only result

Best for: Established plumbing companies that will pay $5,000 or more for the agency partnership (billing period unspecified in the quoted source) and want site ownership in writing

KickCharge Creative

Visit site

Pricing: $3,500 / $7,500 / $11,500 / $16,500 per month; upper three include a site

  • Says the monthly rate drops once the site is paid off after year one

Cons

  • Contract term and who owns the site are not published
  • Highest published floor for a package that includes a website ($7,500 a month)
  • The $3,500 tier has no site

Best for: Multi-truck plumbing and trades companies that want a site and marketing in one flat package

Plumbing & HVAC SEO

Visit site

Pros

  • Named in 10 of 29 answers, 8 of them in Google answers

  • Says ownership of the site is released free after twelve months

Cons

  • Twelve-month initial term and no month-to-month at the start
  • A buyout applies if you leave before twelve months
  • Plumbing, HVAC and electrical only

Best for: Three-to-ten-truck plumbers that want SEO and a managed site and accept a twelve-month term

Plumbing Webmasters

Visit site

Pricing: $99 to start, setup fee; monthly rate not published

Pros

  • Plumbing only, in business more than 16 years
  • "No long-term contracts", and you can cancel before launch without activating the monthly fee
  • Fixed monthly rate that "does not vary by market" and includes website updates

Cons

  • Monthly rate not published; only a "$99 to Start" banner plus a one-time setup fee
  • Site ownership not published
  • Named in 9 of 29 answers, mostly in Perplexity answers

Best for: Small plumbing companies that want a plumbing-only builder without long-term contracts and will ask for the monthly rate

SmartSites

Visit site

Pricing: Websites start at $5,000, flat fee

Pros

  • Websites start at $5,000 as one flat fee for the agreed scope, payable in 2 to 4 payments
  • Says you own 100% of the design, code and content and that your domain stays in your name
  • Not tied to a retainer: a one-time build

Cons

  • Named in 5 of 29 answers, mostly ChatGPT
  • General agency across many industries, not plumbing-specific
  • Final price depends on pages, features and platform, so the $5,000 is a floor

Scorpion

Visit site

Pricing: Not published

Pros

  • Named in 12 of 29 answers, 6 of them in Google answers
  • Home-services scale with a plumbing industry page

Cons

  • No website price published
  • Typically requires a 12-month contract for marketing technology and certain services such as SEO (verified 2026-09-30)
  • Website ownership terms not verified by us because the site blocked a plain fetch

Best for: Large multi-service operators that want a one-vendor stack and will confirm site ownership in writing

How we tested which plumbing website companies AI engines recommend

On 2026-10-29 we asked ten questions a plumbing company owner might type, including "Best website design company for plumbing companies?", "Affordable website design company for a small plumbing company?" and "Which website design companies publish their pricing for plumbing companies?", to Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search and Google's Gemini with Search grounding. Thirty prompts were sent and 29 answers came back; one cell errored and is not counted. We counted each answer that named an agency and merged Blue Corona into RYNO because they merged on October 1, 2024. BaaDigi: 0 of 29 answers. One Perplexity answer cited our plumbing SEO page without naming us as a recommendation.

What the engines cited: mostly agency-written lists, including onelittleweb.com (21 citations), tradesshortlist.com (15) and brixagency.com (9). Agency lists tend to rank their own author high, so treat the counts as what the engines say, not as quality.

Not design companies: ServiceTitan (11) and Housecall Pro (5) are field-service software and Webflow, Wix and Squarespace are builders. Relentless Digital and Hibu (5 each) were named but not researched on their own sites, so they are not in the table.

What does a plumbing website actually cost?

Published figures only. A one-time custom build runs from $5,000 at SmartSites, and Hook Agency lists $12,000 for a standard site and $24,000 for a custom one, split over 12 months and sold only with a recurring service. Bundled models hide the site inside a retainer: Plumbing & HVAC SEO charges $5,000 setup that covers the site build, then $2,495 a month; KickCharge's $7,500 and higher packages include a site. At the low end, Footbridge Media publishes $249 a month with no build fee, and Plumbing Webmasters advertises "$99 to Start". BaaDigi publishes $97 a month plus $300 setup for AI Website Management, $147 plus $500 for the Predictable Work Website, and $297 plus $700 for the Foundation Engine, which includes the site.

We did not find a published website price at RYNO, Scorpion, Thrive, WebFX or Rival Digital. Ask for the number before the call, not after.

What a good plumbing website company must put in writing

Ownership of the site, domain and code.** Hook says you own it 100%, RYNO says you own the content, code and images, SmartSites says you own the design, code, content and domain. Plumbing & HVAC SEO releases ownership free after twelve months with a buyout before then. If an agency is silent, ask. **Ownership of the Google Business Profile: Google's policy says end customers must retain ownership or co-ownership of the profile, so a builder should never hold it. **A real phone number you control**, with call tracking in your name. **Speed**: Hook quotes about 45 days for its standard site and around 100 days for a fully custom one. **Edits**: how many changes are included (Plumbing & HVAC SEO includes three hours a month; BaaDigi's Predictable Work Website includes one update request a month). **Rankings**: Google says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, so a site contract that promises one is a warning. **Term**: month-to-month or a short minimum with 30 days notice.

Where site contracts can go wrong

We did not cite owner complaint threads on this page because we could not verify them against a live URL today. The risks below come from the agencies' own published terms. **Conflicting terms**: Hook's homepage FAQ asks for a yearly commitment while its plumbing page says it has no long-term contracts, so get the term in writing. **Ownership with a delay**: Plumbing & HVAC SEO releases the site free after twelve months and charges a buyout earlier. **A site that gets cheaper later**: KickCharge says the rate drops once the site is paid off after year one, which means the first year's price includes the build, and you should ask what happens to the site if you leave in month eight. **Unpublished prices**: five of the ten most-named agencies publish no site price, so the first call is where the number appears.

How to choose by shop size

One or two trucks: you rarely need a $12,000 build. Compare Footbridge Media at $249 a month, Plumbing Webmasters (ask for the monthly rate), and BaaDigi's $97/month plus $300 setup AI Website Management or $147/month plus $500 setup Predictable Work Website if you are comfortable editing with your own Claude or ChatGPT. Foundation at $297 a month plus $700 setup adds done-for-you local SEO basics and the Google Business Profile.

Three to ten trucks: SmartSites from $5,000 for a one-time custom build, Plumbing & HVAC SEO at $2,495 a month after a $5,000 setup, or a bundled package. This is where owning the site and the term matter most.

Regional or multi-location: Hook ($12,000 to $24,000 sites plus a retainer), KickCharge ($7,500 to $16,500 a month), RYNO ($5,000 or more for the agency partnership; billing period unspecified in the quoted source) and Scorpion have the scale, and each needs ownership and term confirmed in writing.

**Do not buy a new site yet** if your Google Business Profile is incomplete or calls go to voicemail. Both are free to fix and move more calls than a redesign.

The BaaDigi Alternative: Own Your Pipeline

Instead of renting leads from platforms, we build a marketing system you own — one that generates exclusive leads and gets cheaper over time.

Website pricing is published: AI Website Management $97 a month plus $300 setup, Predictable Work Website $147 plus $500, Foundation Engine $297 plus $700 with the site included
AI Website Management and the Predictable Work Website are hosted and protected by us; you edit the site with your own Claude or ChatGPT, with no done-for-you changes at $97/month plus $300 setup
The domain, Google Business Profile and analytics stay in your name, and the site is month-to-month
The Predictable Work Website adds the Predictable Work Dashboard and one update request a month
Honest limit: BaaDigi was named 0 times in this test, and the $97/month plus $300 setup and $147/month plus $500 setup products are not a custom design build like Hook or SmartSites sell

Frequently Asked Questions

Did Blue Corona merge with RYNO?

Yes. Blue Corona merged with RYNO Strategic Solutions effective October 1, 2024. In our 2026-10-29 test the two names were counted together: 15 of 29 answers named RYNO or Blue Corona (4 in Perplexity, 4 in ChatGPT, 7 in Google). If an older article lists Blue Corona as a separate agency, it predates the merger.

Which plumbing website companies publish their prices?

Hook Agency ($12,000 standard and $24,000 custom, split over 12 months with a recurring service), SmartSites (websites start at $5,000), Plumbing & HVAC SEO ($5,000 setup including the site build, then $2,495 a month), KickCharge ($7,500, $11,500 and $16,500 a month packages that include a site), Footbridge Media ($249 a month) and BaaDigi ($97 plus $300 setup, $147 plus $500, and $297 plus $700 with the site included). RYNO, Scorpion, Thrive, WebFX and Rival Digital publish no website price.

Do I own my plumbing website if I leave the agency?

Check the contract, because it varies. Hook, RYNO and SmartSites say you own it. Plumbing & HVAC SEO releases the site free after twelve months and charges a buyout earlier. Footbridge Media says the website goes with you if you cancel. Scorpion, Thrive, WebFX, Rival Digital and Plumbing Webmasters publish no ownership terms we could verify. BaaDigi: you own the site, domain and data, month-to-month.

How long does it take to build a plumbing website?

Hook Agency quotes about 45 days for its standard site and "right around 100 days" for a fully custom one. The dossier contains no verified Plumbing Webmasters launch timeline. Other agencies in this set publish no timeline.

Who do AI engines recommend for plumbing website design?

In our 2026-10-29 test of 29 answers across Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, Hook Agency was named 19 times, RYNO including Blue Corona 15, Scorpion 12, KickCharge 11, Plumbing & HVAC SEO 10, Plumbing Webmasters 9, Thrive and WebFX 7 each, Rival Digital 6 and SmartSites 5. ServiceTitan (software) was named 11 times. BaaDigi was named 0 times. Most of what the engines cited were agency-written lists.

Is a cheap plumbing website worth it?

It can be, if it is fast, mobile-friendly, shows your phone number on every screen, and you own the domain and the Google Business Profile. A managed site at $97/month plus $300 setup or $147/month plus $500 setup suits a one-or-two-truck shop that will edit with its own AI tool. A multi-truck shop that wants custom design, a content plan and ads has a different job, and the $5,000 to $24,000 builds above are priced for it. Either way, ask for ownership and the term in writing.
